  i don't come here much anymore

  i don't know why, but for some reason i haven't been coming to GS much lately. it's not that i'm busy (in fact, i am the opposite of busy), i guess i just get bored of the internet quicker than i used to. i don't know. i started browsing reddit (i don't really post or do upvotes/downvotes, i just like to look at the pictures). it's a pretty cool site. i like it.

  i've also acquired a girlfriend. i started talking to her several months ago, and we've been together for only about a month now. she's kind of crazy sometimes, but i like her a lot. sometimes it doesn't feel like it's worth it though. she'll get upset for stupid things. but it's whatever.

  tonight i went to see Mastodon and Opeth, and also a band called Ghost played. i went with my cousin and her boyfriend's daughter, plus the daughter's boyfriend. my cousin's boyfriend is brothers with one of the guys in Mastodon, so we got to go backstage and i got to meet them. i didn't even know Opeth was going to be there until i saw the ticket receipt, which really got me excited, because i LOVE Opeth! i high fived them after they got done playing, and when Mastodon was playing, i was standing on the stage right behind them. and for a little while, i was standing right next to Mikael Akerfeldt (singer+guitar) and Martin Axenrot (drummer)!! i really wanted to talk to them, but the music was loud and it would have been hard.

  but at the end of Mastodon's set, everyone that was standing at the back of the stage watching went to the front of the stage. so i was on stage with Mastodon, Opeth, and Ghost! i high fived all of them, it was awesome. after the show was over, my cousin took a picture of me with Troy Sanders of Mastodon (he is her boyfriend's brother)

  turning 21 tomorrow

  tomorrow is my 21st birthday, woot! having a party at my friends' house tonight, gonna get messed up real good then on Sunday i plan on going to Taco Mac with some people and joining their Brewniversity.

  this is weird, don't know how to fix it

  my school has this thing called GeorgiaVIEW Vista Blackboard Learning System where it has our classes and the professors can post material, you can send emails to other classmates, there are discussion boards, i actually think it's awesome.

  but anyways, for one of my classes, my professor posts writing assignments and puts us in groups and we can discuss with our groups about our answers to the writing assignments. each student must submit their own paper, but we can discuss with each other. he makes a separate "thread" for each group, in the 'discussion' area. but the thing is, it shows up under MY 'discussion' area too late. he just posted the writing assignment that is due on 10/17 and the groups, but i am just now seeing the discussion threads for the LAST writing assignment, that was due on like 9/26 or 27 or some day like that. i logged in a few minutes ago and there's some "New" all over my screen and i look to see what it is and it's s*** from back in September. not only does it show the 5 or 6 or 7 threads for the different groups, but it shows that other students have made posts in those 'threads', meaning that they were showing up for everyone else. why didn't they show up for me, i wonder?
