    The yellow pad broke

Hey - the topic says it all. After a little bit over 6 months of gameplay, focused first on guitar and vocals, the yellow pad of my Rock Band 2 drum set has finally broken. (The center forms a small depression, and the plastic is actually cracked.) So now is a good time for tinkering. (I had brought it back from the US and thus warranty is not even an option - not to mention it is already over anyway.) Or buy an iron drums... He he. Maybe. Well it has problems with the PS3 so maybe not yet, but once it is solved...

I had no clue I would be so hooked to this game when I bought it. I thought I was crazy to pay that much money for a game, but now I really think this is the game with which I had the most pleasure for my buck.

Quick note: The RB2 hardware is still unavailable heredown.

So it also means that the scope of possibilities broadens now. I could also play another game.
    Time for thinking!

Rock Band Microphone stand... does not stand still

So I bought the Mad Catz microphone stand for Rock Band (universal... with clip... it sounded great!) Well you guessed right - it really does not live up to my dreams of drumming and singing at the same time, and barely allows me to sing and strum.
It is just a poorly designed piece of hardware. On the plus side, you get the plastic clip that lets you hang the controller of the vocalist instead of leaving it "somewhere".
But I am really disappointed with the lack of balance and the fact that the stand is not designed to stand close to the drums. So I am going to buy myself a real stand with an extension arm, and I invite you all to do the same.
    Ciao.
