old games replay value what new games should have

Nowadays it is Harder and harder to see games with multiple endings, why is that so? , making myself those questions my imagination takes me back to my SNES and Chrono Trigger and the many times that I just kept using that cartridge just for the curiosity of a different ending, more recently on the PSone the good old METAL GEAR SOLID , though it wasn't that long I had the opportunity to see a different ending after beating the @#it out of liquid, one of my favorites of all time CASTLEVANIA SOTN the different endings is not the only plus, it is how different is the world if you are in your way of getting Dracula instead of richter ( inverted castle) new monsters those were games, not that star ocean on the PSone was the greatest game but 80 different endings is what I call replay value,

I know that many games being them a minority have had that as their assets but in the old days each one had cut scenes that made the different ending truly a reward( I know that Chrono Trigger didn't have CG cut scenes until the PSone version but now its got to be a standard ). Right now I see that game developers are more focused on the online multiplayer experience (WHICH I LOVE BY THE WAY) to add replay value to the game, but man how good it would be to give us players that so that after we are done playing the game we always have the excuse to give it another shot just for the thrill of the new ending.

But that's just me how good it would be if only game developers listen to us gamers for a change!!!
