    Extra Medium?

A couple of weeks ago when, for my birthday, i recieved Guitar hero 3 for the wii, i had mixed expectations. I really wanted to play it, but had never played any of the previous iterations in the guitar hero family. As such i was apprehensive to say the least when it came to getting the game. But luckily my worries were soon a thing of the past, and i breezed through the easy difficulty setting in the career mode. I was ecstatic as not only was i new to the game, but i had also completely failed a few years back when i tried to learn guitar.

So feeling rather confident i pluckily attempted medium. It was tough. Very tough in fact, for a noob such as myself. But somehow, for some unknown reason i was able to hit the notes. I mean, my little finger was in agony, but i appeared to be doing it. Even, dare i say, beginning to feel like somewhat of a guitar hero. In most of the games i play i instinctively pick the "normal" difficulty. But on this particular occasion i thought i would try to join the legions of "1337" folk out there and try out the hard difficulty.

It was however, far too much for me. And quite frankly, anyone who can move their fingers that fast along those brightly coloured and rather shiny buttons is, in my eyes at least, somewhat of a freak. Such a feat is incomprehensible to me.So this brings me onto the point of this blog. Extra medium. Why dont they have it. Particularly in Guitar hero where there is such a spike in difficulty between the normal and hard difficulties. The medium is too easy for me, and the hard too hard. I am the unwanted love child of awesomeness and failure. I just want something slightly faster with more notes on screen. I dont ,however, want to put my fingers through the absolute agony that the hard and expert difficulties are able to induce.

Am i alone in my own little world, or are there others out there who, like me, long for an extra medium difficulty.

    It Lives!

    Woah, i mean WOAH!

What is going on, i cant feel my eyes....my analog thumbs hurt....i keep hearing bullets in the distance.

Well, i got xbox live. Its amazing. I know im going to get addicted, i mean i have been playing it for 5 hours straight now and im not sure if i can stop despite the prospect of school tomorrow. I dont know how i am going to cope...

My gamer tag is phlegms , so add me as i am in need of a couple of friends on it. I will most likely be playing cod4, because..well..it's awesome. I might play a bit of halo 3, but it kinda bores me. I also got mass effect which i cant wait to get started, i have played exactly 4 minutes of it. But got bored and went back to cod 4.

I am going to keep this entry fairly concise as its been about 3 minutes now, and i havent played cod 4.

    So adios.

    Gamespot are anti awesome...

Well you have really done it now gamespot. As much as i love you, im finding it hard to justify why i come here anymore. I was already getting annoyed with the numerous site glitches, and the long review waits. But todays problem is the final straw so to speak.

Now, assassins creed is a game i seemed to have been waiting for, for a long time. Ever since it was announced, there have been certain aspects that have sparked an intrest in me that few other games have done before. Then today, while watching the video review for it, i was raped of this excitement. No detail was needed on the plot, and it was something that only needed a simple comment for the sake of the review. There was no need to divulge any details regarding the plot. But despite this, i was screwed over once again. I am still fairly excited about the game as the thing that was revealed wasnt the only thing holding my interest in the game. But it was definitely a major factor in my infatuation with the game.

Well thats my "rant" over, so i shall move onto my purchases. Since i got my 360 i have bought a further 2 games and was given one. I was given Gears of War, and it's okay. I think i was expecting alot more from it, and it hasnt really lived p to my high expectations. But it is still thoroughly enjoyable, although i probably wont finish it. I bought dead rising, which is pretty disappointing. Very fun and i can kinda see what the devs for this game were trying to get at. But the broken save system has really hindered it from achieving the full enjoyment that could have been gotten from the game. I also bought Call of Duty 4, which is amazing. I was a massive fan of Call of Duty 2, and had played through it 3 or 4 times. And in terms of multiplayer it was my favourite game. But CoD4 completely blew me away. I love everything about the game. I cant find one flaw with it, apart from the fact it had to end. Which didnt even bother me because as soon as i finished it on regular, i went to play through it again on hard. And i plan to do so once again on veteran. Which is second only to Cod2 for me. And as soon as i get live i can only see that enjoyment growing.

Well thats about it. For now, i should be getting assassins creed on friday, and possibly mario galaxy on thursday night. But im not completely decided on Mario Galaxy, but we shall see.
