Let's do the time warp again.

So I just saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time. I wasn't sure what to expect, but all in all I have to say I liked it.

Tim Curry is fantastic, and I really enjoyed how the movie delivers a vibrant and perfect blend of creepy, trippy, funny, sexy, weird, and catchy all at the same time. The movie itself was pretty bizarre, and somewhere in the middle it goes from "ok...?" to "WTF?", but I still found it rather enjoyable, albeit a bit hard to sit all the way through. Anyway, I can see why people still get dressed up to see it. By the way, if you have seen it, I would just like to mention how rapidly I have developed an enormous crush on Magenta (top right). I would totally plow that. Gently, even. That's how awesome she is.

I'm SICK of people talking about The Force Unleashed.

Really. This game is MASSIVELY overhyped. It's pathetic how desperate and starved these nerds are for a decent Star Wars game. They're so deprived of one that they'll go out and buy the first piece of crap that comes along. So you play as a super secret apprentice of Darth Vader that never actually existed in the first place, and you can use force choke on anything that moves. THIS JUST IN: This game came out 5 years ago for the PC. It was fun to play, and it even had more than 3 force powers. It was called Jedi Acadamy. No? Does the name Kyle Katarn ring a bell? No?? Wow. This generation of gamers really is ambiguously sad.

It really is depressing when an entire generation of gamers submits to the crappy games they're subjected to playing instead of doing five minutes of research in order to discover that they're playing stripped re-hashes of games that were released years earlier with better gameplay and better stories. The term "gamer" has almost lost all meaning in the first place. Nowadays if you play video games, you are a gamer. There is no meaning left to it. Because none of these stupid kiddies making their parents buy them M rated games can figure out how to use Google on the internet machine so they can justify buying a game actually worth paying for. Instead, they buy a game that looks good, play it because they think its good, and act like mindless zombies that don't understand they're playing trash. Games these days are over-hyped, over-talked about, over-played, and over-recycled. And in the end people like me who still have a passion for playing just become a sterotype of what a gamer is supposed to be: A brainless drone who plays games because everyone else plays them. That, my friends, is exactly the opposite of who and what I am. I stand for something better than that, and you should to.
