Poke , you should start with playing your older games. Fallout 3 or Uncharted 2 should be up next.

@Darnasian maybe, but I do want to get to the ones that I got with pre-order bonuses, like New Vegas...I did just realise how many new games are coming out - I should be glad for the delay from Naughty Dog!

Your list is getting smaller! Hooray! I don't have to scroll down to see it all anymore :P

What really stands out in Dead Space 3 is the campaign not the multiplayer although the latter is still amazing.

@Wensea10 I haven't been impressed with the solo campaign as of yet...

@pokecharm Dang well I hope you do; having multiplayer in games these days just makes a lot of them generic...hopefully the campaign will be more spectacular.

@pokecharm Same here; ever since the Call Of Duty syndrome...when I hear about multiplayer I faint.

@Wensea10 I generally avoid MP, I want to say I play for story, but my queue doesn't quite read like that ;)

Read that Game Informer gave DS3 a 9.75/10. Can't be right. Can it?

@dylan417I Love the magazine.  I love the articles with industry insiders (GS should read and take note).  I even enjoy the reviews and actually go to them first when I get it in the mail, buuuut I really don't take them seriously because they lavish most games with generous scores.  Mentally rounding down 1.5 to 2 points seems like the fair scaling method to me.

@BravoOneActual yes, that's how I look at it too - drop a few points and then you get the real score, sort of!

Liked your reviews! You're very critical about them which I think is something that should be done more often by people.

@Minishdriveby thanks!  I try to be honest, but also give games credit when due, you know?

Your list is an interesting mix of the awesome and the godawful.

But be careful. Some of those games are more than a year old. They may not have aged well.

@johnsteed7 I like to have a good mix :p

I know...and I do want to blog about rating older games...I mean, how can we be fair, truly?

@pokecharm @johnsteed7 I find it very easy actually. We're not talking about PS2 games here. You frequently say that a game 2 or 3 years old "hasn't aged well". Those game are running on current gen systems. What about them hasn't aged well? Are the graphics for 3 year old games really that much worse than current games? Do 3 year old games use any gameplay mechanics that are outdated? Just elaborate on what's "wrong" with these "old" games. I'd really like to know what your thoughts are.

@johnsteed7 huh, that's a very fair point - I guess I assume that the shortfalls are based on the age, but you might have something there.

@pokecharm @johnsteed7 What you describe doesn't seem to me to be examples of a game not aging well, but just fundamental flaws in the game. In other words, I have the feeling you wouldn't like those things about those games even if you played them when they were released.

@johnsteed7 in some cases, yes, although at times Castlevania had great vistas, the actual game play portions of the game were just meh, and while Uncharted had it's moments, the set pieces were what made the game, not the overall feel of the game.  In both cases I found a great deal of visual inconsistencies that made them seem like they didn't age well, if that makes sense.

I do so want a Green Lantern game - when I was little he was my favourite super hero even though he wasn't nearly as 'super' as some of them:P

you really are something else!!!

@iowastate until I saw the movie, I did always think he was cool!  thank you, my friend :)

"I've been on fire lately!"

That must be uncomfortable :|

... though it's always gratifying to be considered 'hot'. :P
