So, since I have not made a blog post in almost 5 months I have decided to write one about my upcoming month. Next month (June 6th to be exact) I am purchasing an Xbox 360, my first video game investment since February, and I am hoping that I will get everything I am expecting and more from this beautifully magnificant console. I know there is plenty of good games for it such as Grand Theft Auto 4, Gears of War, Mass Effect and Bioshock to only name a few, but I am not exactl sure if I will be able to contend with a console filled with almost only shooters. Don't get me wrong I am a fan of shooters, but when that is all that comes out I get a little skeptical and afraid, sure Mass Effect is a great RPG, but the game has shooting elemnts to it. I know it may seem a little stupid to say just because a game has a small portion of shooting that is all the game is about. It is, in a way. Most games nowadays have only shooting elements to it, me being a fan of Action/Adventure games such as Zelda, or Platformers such as Mario can get a little offside when it comes to shooters. I loved Goldeneye for the N64, I enjoyed the first Halo on the Xbox, and I really enjoyed Gears Of War (from what I have played) but all I am saying is why does every game have to have a shooting element to it? To me shooting in certain parts of a well rounded game is very enjoyable, but shooting everything in your path becomes a little tiresome after a while. So I shall write a little editorial here about shooting games and what they have done to me.

Goldeneye was the first FPS I ever got a grasp of, it intruiged me with the odd control scheme and awakward camera as I never knew what an FPS was until I played this game. It really changed my life and perspective on video games even up until now.
I still believe that shooters should have this quality to them. In my opinion no shooter has come close to beating Goldeneye in the level of quality and care put into the game, it was amazing at the time and is still amazing today.

Grand Theft Auto was the next series I took hold of and never let go. GTA was at the time, to me, immensly different from what I have ever played. It was raw, it was intentionally rough and amazing played out. I first experienced the wonder in 2005 when I bought Grand Theft Auto 3 for my Xbox. I wasn't sure if I was gonna like the game or not as I have never touched any game in the series or every considered buying a game in the series. Let me tell you that when I put the disc in my Xbox I was thrilled to see what was going to happen.
What I came upon after the loading screen was the best game I have ever played at the time. It was different, you could do what you want and get away with it, I felt free when I could take my car and drive it straight into a builduing and walk away unharmed. It was a hell of a experience for a kid that never wanted to play a violent game in his life, it was the turning chapter for me.
In late 2005 I was blessed with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas being released for the Xbox. I was smart and picked it up shortly after it came out. I had one of the greatest times in my gaming history with this title. You were free to pretty much do whatever you felt like f***ing doing, it was an amazing experience. Even though the main story sometimes did have a drag here and there it was amazingly told with some of the best actors around such as Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Penn. San Andreas has to be one of the best shooting oriented game around with an unforgetable story and gnarly gameplay.
I was blessed with the oppurtunity to play GTA 4 days after it came out. My friends told me how amazing it was, I didn't believe it was as amazing as they said until I played it myself. GTA 4 brings everything we love from the franchise and tenfolds it. The extremes and boundaries pushed by this game in phenomenal and superb. I don't think any game has ever pushed a franchise as far as this one has. This game will always be remebered as one of the best games of all times.
Well, that is my little rant on shooters. You saw how they affected me in my gaming sense, and how I feel about boring shooters nowadays. But I bid you all farewell, and until next time.....my minions of the night...ATTACK!!
I hope you enjoy this review, it is my first one in a while, and probably one of the best ones I have written in the last little while.
Alright, I have been suffering from severe boredom the last while because I have finished all of my games. Now it would really help me if I had some suggestions from friends, so if you can please suggest games in these categories:
Action/Adventure
Role-Playing
FPS
and
3'rd Person Shooter
and they need to be for Xbox, Gamecube, and Nintendo DS.
Thanks for the help friends.
Hello my friends, I want to wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. I would like to know how verybodies Christmas was, I know mine was great.....hmm, great doesn't even describe it...amazing might. This was the best Christmas I have ever had, I got everything I wanted and then some.
The first gift I opened was Atreyu's new album Lead Sails Paper Anchor
This is a great album, I would suggest listening to it if you really enjoy diverse music. it has a blend of Thrash Metal, Post-Hardcore, Metalcore, Country, and Rockabilly. It really shows that if you put your mind to something you can accomplish it I give it a 9/10
The second thing I opened was some Axe spray and body wash, you know you only get it when your parents think you are a slob but meh. I give this an 7/10
The third gift I opened was a AC/DC shirt, and damn was I surpirsed. my father asked what kind of shirt I wanted, me being the Metal fanatic I am asked for an Iron Maiden shirt, but hell, AC/DC is awesome too. I was really happy and surpirsed when I got this, but hey it is still awesome. I give it a 9.5/10
The fourth gift I opened was my favorite.
It was my biggest surpised, I was expecting a Black Sabbath album or maybe a Judas Priest album, but I got Master Of Puppets by Metallica. It is my favorite album by far, and I was so happy when I got this. My father told me he wanted to get me an Iron Maiden album, but I was like whodamn wellcares...IT IS METALLICA. I give this gift a 10000000000000/10
The last gift I opened was my long anticipated Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster.

I have wanted a guitar like this since I started playing almost a year ago. Although this guitar doesn't suit my ****of playing or my main ****of music it is great for beginners and pros alike. Mine came with an amplifier, pick set, carrying case, gig strap, tremelo bar (whammy bar as some of you may know it as) and decent strings. I give this gift a 10000/10
I rated each gift out of ten based on how well I reacted to them, so hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!
Please drop a comment and a list of your gifts and a rating out of ten. So my friends and minions of the night so long and farewell.....thanks for staying metal my brothers.
Well, how to start this off? It has been a very long time since I have even thought of going on Gamespot, or the computer at all. But I realized I have missed so much, so I am back for the time being. My life has been really overwhelming lately, I have had to contend with school, trying my hardest to good in every subject (which I have failed on doing), and writing songs for my band. The most overwhelming thing right now in my life is my band. We are a very non-wellknown band from my city and Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, but we are based in Regina. The hardest part about being in a band is the commitment level you need to contend with, and I have put so much into it the band and it isn't even funny. There is one problem about it, my lead singer doesn't live in my hometown anymore, hence the Prince Albert connection. He moved away right after we started the band almost 2 years ago, and we recently got our first demo song out ( I had nothing to with it as the lead singer and our drummer did it themselves in one day ) but I have to say it is a very rewarding experience to hear your band play on Myspace. It feels really good to know we already have fans even though we only have one song out right now. If you want to check my band out the url is www.myspace.com/bloodymarriage.
But now onto gaming talk. In the recent months I haven't played many games, which I am starting to miss. The only game I have played constantly is Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero 3, and I must say....damn, the games are AMAZING. I really find these game helpful to an actualy guitarist ( as I am one myself ) it really gets your finger speed up and also help be able to strum strings more accurate. But other than that it is really only a very fun and rewarding game. Thats all I really have to say about gaming for this blog.
Now we dweel into school. Ugh....school, the one thing I hate right now. my marks are pretty average, some low, some high. The only reason for this complete difference in marks is because the work is just too damn easy. I am not saying I don't like school, I enjoy it very much, but the work doesn't bring a challenge to my young mind. I would really enjoy school more if I was challenged by my schoolwork instead of alreadyy knowing everything I am being taught.
But is all really for now, I said what I wanted to say. I will see al my friends in my unions or post comments in your blogs. So goodbye my dear friends and may you prevail in your quest in life.
