There was a string of conversations a while back that got me thinking (which, incidentally, is never a good thing…me being a knowledge consumer, not a knowledge producer…but I digress).

Anywho, the long and the short of it was that me, entropyecho, and atmanix said it would be great if we had an 'Old Guys of GS' Union.
(note: this includes girls as well…would be open to users above a certain age)
Atmanix and I further discussed the issue. There are many 'older' users that we enjoy actually 'talking' to...weird, I know.

Positives:
-get to talk to select older users that are interesting, pleasant, and (most importantly) humorousposters
-a little more control over the forum
-it is nice to be able to talk with people closer in age from time to time
-there are plenty of people that I would WANT to join

Negatives:
-UNIONS ARE DEAD
-need a Leader (someone that really knows GS and is good at actually being a leader)
-other users (not in the union) provide the LULZ in the first place...hard to laugh with/at those that are not there
-lots of the desirable candidates may not (probably would not) want to join

I just wanted to know what some of you guys out there thought about this.
If I had to make a poll, it would go something like this
-it is like Communism (great in theory, bad in practice)
-a good idea
-a bad idea
-**** you old people, get off GS

So what do you guys think?
