    I've purchased 2 gamer PCs!

Since last time I've taken on PC gaming head on! I've purchased two gamer PCs. One desktop and one laptop. The desktop has a quad core CPU 3.2 gHz and 8 GB RAM witha Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 card providing graphics and sound. The laptop CPU accelerates to 2.8 gHz using its Turbo and it has 12 GB RAM using a laptop version of the same graphics card, Nvidia Geforce GTX 460M.

So far I've got three games installed on my computers, on Steam. Those are, Civilization V, Total War: Shogun 2 and Portal 2. I'm waiting for three more, as it is, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. I'm looking equally forward to all of them!

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was a blast in 2006 when I played it on the then new (next-gen) Xbox 360. I've read that Bethesda is pushing the envelope more with the PC version than the console versions so I want the most out of the package, so PC it is! When it comes to Battlefield 3 it's one decisive factor making me invested in the PC version and that is the multiplayer with up to 64 players per match. I can't believe how cool that is gonna be! Battlefield maps are big and the multiplayer gameplay tactical, so bringing so many players to the table will bring tons of magic to my screen! Mark my words! Also, for the first time, I'll pop my MMORPG cherry. Taking up PC gaming after so many years I think it's appropriate to try out something consoles never were any good at. I'm glad I waited, because WoW and all these games never triggered my interest very much! However, years ago on the original Xbox, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) and KOTOR 2 was played with a genuine and passoniate tech love. Kind of a trip down memory lane, head first into the future.

Got me a wheel (and pedals) for Xbox 360

I traded the Mcrosoft Wireless Wheel for Xbox 360 against a retired iPhone and suddenly one of my long time favorite genres got a breath of fresh air and new life. The wheel is make or break when it comes to buying new racing games. For example I decided not to get FIA World Wally Championship since the review said it had poor implementation of wheel use. Also I've decided not to buy racing games on PS3 since I got the wheel only for Xbox 360. That means both Test Drive Unlimited 2 and SHIFT 2 Unleashed are preordered for Xbox 360.

One racing game I'm really looking forward to is DIRT 3. Just a few more months and I can play a rally games ten times better than the official one. However, that's the thing with sequels. Usually all the best games are sequels or new iterations of well proved formulas and games series.

One game that's first up is F1 2010 and I picked it up from my drawer to try it with the wheel and it was a totally different experience and suddenly recommendable! I was thiinking this is probably the closest I'll ever get to driving a Formula 1 car. And it was pretty good! Much better to take the corners right than with a gamepad controller. New life more or less for a hardcore racing game.

Finally I'm thinking this is what will make me go back to Forza 3 as well and finish every single race on it. I just got some championships left in Event Mode. Nothing more to do in Season Play. About 130 - 140 hourse got me that far...

    Got the PS3 today!

I already purchased FIFA 11 in a shop the day before yesterday. Today I got in the mail, from the only shop that had it in stock, my Playstation 3 and the hyped driving simulator Gran Turismo 5.

First I was actually quite disappointed. Then I watched a football match on TV (soccer) and I switched channel back to the PS3 and since then I've been hypnotized. I'm really glad I got it, and from now on I'll be getting some games for the PS3 and others for the Xbox 360. If I get a steering wheel for PS3 then I'll get all the racing games for that console.

This remains to be seen! However it's great to now have two video game consoles. The two best consoles of all time. I also got a second Blu-ray player for when hard times come my way and make me need one.......
