  Silent Hill: Homecoming Impressions

  Because horror type games generally freak me out I haven't played many Silent Hil games, although I'm sure I'd like the genre if I gave it more of a chance. Today I picked up Silent Hill Homecoming and so far I'm impressed(I've tried to make this blog spoiler free).
  
  The games protagonist is Alex Shepard, a soilder returning home from the service. However his hometown is not as he left it and is now overrun by monsters, has a thick fog and almost all the residents have disappeared, including Alex's father and brother Josh. I'm not very far into the story so I can't comment on it at the moment.
  
  The combat system was improved dramatically. You can now dodge enemies and lots more. The health bar only appears when the enemy attacks, and shows up on the menu screen. I dislike this because even though you can check your health anytime in the menu screen you could forget and become a snack for a monster. I also heard of the enemy's AI being increased but I find enemys get stunned easily and like to just stand there when your attacking them over and over again, although it could just be beginners luck. Almost every object in the game is moveable and can determine whether or not a enemy see's Alex or not. I thought this was a clever way or making the game harder.
  
  The game graphics is beautifully dark and grimy. Even when not in the otherworld everything is still rusty and dark. It does make the game more creepy but it is very annoying walking around in complete darkness.

  That's basically all I can comment on right now. The game is very well done, creepy and sometimes mine-boggling. After I finish it I might a review on it

  Level 34-Paramecium

  Level 34 - Paramecium - I believe this is from Forgotten Worlds for the Turbografx-16. At the end of a stage, your character proclaims, "You cannot stop me with paramecium alone!" Apparently it also appeared in Aero Fighters 2 for the NeoGeo.

  No my favorite level, Goombella is over:'(. I'm looking forward to level 35, Stiches though. Always liked that level.
  
  Aside from the blog posted yesterday there isn't a lot going on. I'm going to pick up Silent Hill Homecoming either tonight or tommorow so I'll write up a blog on my impressions of the game soon.

  Recently Watched Movies + Haircut

  Recently Watched Movies
  I haven't done one of these in a while. I'll be getting a few more movies to watch soon so expect more of these.
  
  Stephen King's: The "IT"
  I've been wanting to watch this movie for a long time and finally got the chance to tonight. The movie is about a group of kids who each have a run in with the evil clown IT. I really enjoyed this movie. Because IT doesn't appear very often in the movie it expands on the main characters a lot more and kinda makes IT a seperate story. The movie isn't very scary but it is a solid well made movie.
  
  Plus I got my haircut a few days ago(no pics cause I don't have a camera.) I've had long hair for such a long time I forgot what short hair feels like. Anyways my hair colour is brown and it's straight.. The front part of it is slightly above my eyes/eyebrows the sides almost cover my ears with the back short and it got thinned out a lot. I think I look good.
