    well...

Well...I'm going to be getting Dragon age origins eventually. I have been watching gameplay videos and looking at player reviews and I'm fully convinced that I'm going tototally enjoy the game. I think it would be good to wait a while for the price to drop, but I'm just too impatient haha (I did spend $40 on diablo battle chest cause I didn't want to wait for the mail if I bought it cheaper online.)

soo...yeah. Nothing else really new here. Just cleaning the basement today. ( I didn't know we had so much crap pushed into so few corners!) Reading and writing, enjoying christmas break. Loved seeing my family again. All I got was $50 and some candy and a shirt I'm happy with it though cause I didn't really even want anything haha

    So...this is what is happening.

Okay, so I have been thinking about the future and I have been wondering how on earth am I going to pull this off? I want to go into writing, because everyone thinks my writing is really good. My english teacher asked if I was copying off another source with my writing because she thought it was so good. Personally I thought it was poor writing and sappy. Besides I enjoy writing and I have often wondered what I was going to do in the future that involves writing. I have dreamed of writing a book since I was little and I have made attempts at starting.

Nothing has really worked until recently and even now it's just whenever I feel "in the mood" to write. Well, I've been thinking about it and I think that writing doesn't require a college degree. Hell anyone can write. So I've been thinking, why not start now? Why not get a headsstart on my future while I have it easy? I have a roof over my head that I don't have to pay for and meals that I don't have to pay forand I think that I've been taking advantage of this. Why wait?

Right now Iam on chapter 4 and so I have a start. But it's all been stuff from off the top of my head whenever I think of it. But I've been looking at it and I think that I could really turn it into something. I have a land made up (i even made a map when I was thirteen with like 50 or more made up cities and islands and places) I have some family trees, I have plenty of characters and I have been working on personalities and backgrounds. My main concern is making the characters believable and I don't want to reveal everything in the beginning too quickly.I have been trying to give my characters flaws so that they are not perfectpeople with no problems, cause noone is without a problem even in peaceful times. I want to make the readers feel connected to the characters in my book(s).

I have been making an outline for the story and been trying to find something original without copying other writers. I've read literally hundreds of fantasy books and they all seem to follow the same formula. It's peaceful, something happens to the main character, main character goes on a journey, he/she fights badguy, he/she defeats badguy. This formula works, but comeon. Every book? So I've been trying to find something differnent. I will follow this formula to an extent. Yes, I'm going to have Mr. innocent and suddenly he's pulled into this, but there is something that never happens. The main character has to sacrifice someting big. I'm not going to say what I have in mind just cause I don't want someone who is a faster writer than me stealing this idea, but he will have to lose something huge to be able to help everyone even if it migth not work. Maybe he might even join the evil side and someone else will have to do something to defeat him.

Now I know somewhere there are already these ideas in practice, but I think that it will create more of an emotional connection to the characters and make you care about what is going to happen more. I personally get tired of the main character always getting through it pretty easily. I noticed mostly what he faces is emotional confict within himself/ herself. "Am I going to be able to do this?" It's entertaining, but only for a while and then it gets old once it happens all the time.I want to try something different. I'm still thinking about this and not sure what is going to happen exactly, but I'm still playing with ideas. I'm trying not to pull too many ideas from other writers so that I can stay original, but the writers J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert Jordan have really got me thinking. I love some of their ideas and they are great writers. I would recommend them to anyone. They go against the grain and comeupwith some great ideas andhave tons of moraldecisions that you wouldn't think that a character would have to go through.

Yeah, that's just what's on in my head. But to summarize it, I'm wanting to start on my career early and I'm trying out different ideas thatI think would captivate the reader.
