New Need For Speed Series This 31st May???

Amidst the hu-ha of Starcraft announcement yesterday, EA silently released what appeared to be a teaser for new Need For Speed at its official website.

The trailer shown a souped up and beat up Mazda RX-7 in a track/circuit. A few second later on, the teaser showed a bunch of eerie damage to the car hitting tire wall that are aplenty in race tracks. Could it be true that Need For Speed will finally be given realistic damages to their cars and simulation/semi-simulation driving experience?

The teaser also gave an impression that Need For Speed XI will move from the usual street racing setting to race track racing. A good change of wind I must say. I mean it's been a good 11 years since the first NFS came out, it is about time that EA change the storyline a bit

Well, we all will get the answer this coming May 31st. You can download the teaser or view it online at Need For Speed website.

Below is one of the screenshot taken from the trailer showing a Mazda RX-7 crashing. Nice effects I must say

ATi HD 2900XT over 8800GTS/8800GTX
Look like ATi have released their new line of product. What I currently see the trend in my country is that many people that owns nVdia GeForce 8800GTS and some GTX owners starting to sell their graphic cards with the reason to upgrade to ATi 2900 series. What do you guys think about people selling over their 8800 series for this new ATi card and also ATi performance?

I wish I had a Quad-core processor!
I'm currently running on 3D animation project for one of my degree course. I'm typing this because I have been waiting for 8 hours just to wait my rendering part to finish, but it hasn't end yet! Just for a starting part, the camera shows and turn around the city with lighting, shadows and reflections with a total of 280 frames (30 frames = 1 second) . So if 150 frames takes 8 hours to render..280 means i have to wait for almost another 8 hour!!! and it has already taken around 300MB of space

That is just the starting scene, my animation have around 10 more scene to render with an average of 1600 frames. I'm just running on Pentium 4 3.0 GHz using CINEMA 4D.

Do you guys think that I can finish rendering it by 22nd of March?

5000++ in 3DMark 2006
it great to see my new nVidia GeForece 8800GTS perfoms in my system, especially after been waiting to see a smooth animation in 3DMark06, but when I run the benchmark, I only manage to get the score only around 5000++, mainly because of my CPU perfomance, I only get less that 100 for the CPU score *cries* but nevertheless, I can now start playing Oblivion again since I left it for a long time mainly because the game is quite lag and not too immervise compared with this 8800GTS card. I'll try to upgrade to Core 2 Duo at the end of the year *hopefully* and hopefully I could get a quite high salary job after I graduated at the end of the year..hahaha

It says it has a limited lifetime warranty, but then it is not a life time warranty..I could say it only has the maximum of 5 years warranty since the lifetime warranty worn off when eVGA stopped producing 8 series GPUs *cries again* hopefully my graphic card wont have any problems at all..

The temperature, damn it is quite high, idles around 59C to 64C, depends on the surrounding temperature, it become much hotter during the day and cooler during the night, the fan is quite silent when it is running, unless I change the fan speed through nTune, still, it aint that noisy..so, I'm proud having this 8800GTS

hopefully this card wont be outdated soon enough..just like what happen to 7800GT/GTX when 7900GT/GTX arrives...

Is it a bug or the server delay?
I have been trying to update my banner and blog image for almost a few hours already but those images still haven't changed at all..Is it because the server might take a little time (i've counted now and it has been more than little ) to update the picture or is it a bug that i have to upload the image to somehwhere else? I'm still waiting because I have a lot of free time for a few days..but (suddenly remembered i have few exams next week )
