Too Hard!!
I recently wrote two reviews, one on each of the soul's game (Dark and Demon's). To write these reviews was the reason I created my account in the first place. I have been a gamespot, unofficial user for a long time and I have read many reviews on those two games because they are my all time favourites, hands down. Granted there have been some brilliant reviews, however I have seen more than one user post a review of below 5!
Now I may be being biased and anyone reading this (unlikely as I am new) may see it that way, but most of the below 5 reviews I have read have complained about the frustrating difficulty level. I have played through both games one of them twice and I have died well into the hundreds of times. They are difficult games however I believe gamers these days are far too soft. If these narrow minded wimpy gamers will just for a moment look past the difficulty they will find themselves in two separate games filled with beauty and despair and with two of the most gorgeously intense soundtracks, and an almost perfect combat system thrown in too.
People call them games for masochists, I call them games for real gamers, I am only eighteen years of age and have been playing since the snes, which was my first console and which I still play now, on emulators. Difficulty is part of the fun with games for me and I'm sure many of you users feel the same way, without it games are bland, simple and childish in many cases and I believe the level of difficulty seen in the souls duo is one of the factors which makes it so great, that sense of rinse and repeat to achieve excellence, and to find your enemies flaws, and know where you are going without a map is such an enthralling experience because just like with real life, you have help but no one is going to be there holding your hand for the rest of your life, so sometimes you just have to experiment and find your own way, and that is why these two games are my absolute favourite of all time.
