  It's beginning to look a lot (less) like Christmas!

  Well that time of the year slowly came, and quickly passed, Christmas time! The favorite holiday of most Americans. We look forward to the fluffy red jolly guy to come along and deliver gifts to all. People put up colorful lights and holiday decorations of various shapes and sizes. Personally, my favorite part, driving around town, looking at all of the nice houses and their yards. Pulling out the 10 footer with my dad and helping string lights, I love it.

  Well over the years I've noticed a slow decline in the amount of decorations people put up. Year to year there was less and less. Well this year was terrible! I come home from school, walk into my house excited to see our tree was up. I go around the corner, forced to tilt my head down at the tree. Yes, down, the three was shorter than I was (5'9"). This was a huge dissapointment to me, I loved our giant tree we would put up and decorate. We usually put up at least three boxes worth of ornaments also, this year, just one. Needless to say I was upset.

  Not only was our tree weak as ever, we put up nearly zero decorations, inside and out. About three strings of lights were hung, and about two figurines were put out inside. No nativity scene, no music, no stickers on the windows. Nothing!

  That's not even the worse part either, yeah, our house sucked, but we weren't the only house. Every year, there are about a dozen houses that I can depend on for an AMAZING display, I'm talking, hundreds of dollars of decor. On top of those houses, nealy every house with some amount of lights. This year, one amazing house, and nearly zero houses with lights up.

  It was a very depressing Christmas
