Hey everyone, how have you been? Well that's cool, but we're here to talk about me.

So, I got a decent haul of games for Christmas. Ass Creed 3, Darksiders 2 and Pokemon White 2. I'm pretty pumped to play them all, and I think I'm gonna try and finish Creed first and then focus on the others. Also, I just finished all of the bonus dungeons in Final Fantasy 1 in the Dawn of Souls pack for GBA. I also got a GBASP, so I can finally start playing Dragon Warrior 1, 2 and 3!

Some thoughts on FF1... I really enjoyed it. The game has a simple charm and the fact that the plot was so bare bones really added to the game rather than taking away from it. It wasn't perfect, though. The game was pretty easy, possibly because you level up so quickly because the random encounters are so damn frequent. However, the ability to save anywhere in the game was awesome. I don't even care if it took away form the difficulty even more. The abi;ity to save anywhere made it perfect for gaming on the go. I'm not sure when I am going to start FF2. (The real FF2, not FF4.) The way you level up your stats in the game sounds incredibly tedious.

As far as movies go, I was recently able to purchase Cabin in the Woods, Savages and The Big Lebowski, all movies I'd reccomend to certain people. I also went to go see Django Unchained and I have to say, it kicked ass. Hilariously violent and really compelling. Definitely see it if you love westerns or you love violent action. For the squeamish, you might want to steer clear. The violence is pretty funny but it's still prety graphic and violent. Finally, I am excited for the upcoming Gangster Squad, which I believe comes out on the 11th. As my friend put it... Looks like a great movie, but a terrible title.

Music time! When I am driving in the car to see my GF, I typically have a set of music I love listening to. I usually start it off with some tunes from the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack, followed by the first few songs off of El Camino by the Black Keys. (Favorite on that album being Little Black Submarines.) From there, it all depends on the mood I'm in. Lately I've listened to Freewill and Limelight by Rush, followed by Come Sail away by Styx. Of course I'll pepper it up some some Led Zeppelin or Van Halen on occasion.

Books! I read some of the prologue to a book titled John Dies at the End by Cracked.com writer David Wong. As far as I can tell, it's about a pair of friends that hunt things that go bump in the night. The reason being that they can see into Hell because of some sort of Drug. So far the book is pretty weird and trippy, but also really funny. I like reading Wong's writing on Cracked, so I have high hopes for the rest of the book. I also finished 11/ 22/ 63 by Stehen King, which is about an English teacher that goes back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination. Great book, definitely one of King's best. The ending really sticks it to you and makes you feel both sad and happy at the same time. Great read for almost anyone. Despite the length, the book flew by for me. Also, I recieved the Walking Dead Compendium 2 for Christmas, which collects a whole butt ton of the issues of the comic. finished it in a day. Great series, better than the TV show. (Although, Season 3 is already miles better than season 2, which was a total snooze fest.) Reccomend it to any zombie fan or fan of the show.

Lastly, I'll talk about my own writing. Sadly, I haven't been doing a ton of it lately. The last one I finished is a short little story called The Dollmaker about a man whose house gets invaded. I have tons of unfinished ones, including a potentially novel sized one called Wasted Life, which is about a poor kid making the wrong decisions in life. (That's all the info I want to divulge on that.) Additionally, I have one called People Becoming Numbers, which is about the lives of victims in a random and seemingly insignificant robbery at a Starbucks. The saying that "your life flashes before your eyes" applies here... for each person that dies, I tell a little about their life. I hope to have a rather unique message come out through the examples I give. If I ever finish it (which shouldn't take a huge amount of time) I'll probably post it for feedback!

Whew! I'm more or less done ranting now. I hope everyone here had a fun but safe New Year celebration. Expect a blog from me soon called "Borderlands and the Metaphor for Life." What's that all about? Well, you'll see when I write it!

That's all for now, kiddies! Happy gaming!

I would LOVE to read "People Becoming Numbers". It sounds very interesting. I read two of your reviews btw: Kirby Mass Attack and Final Fantasy VI Advance. Lastly, I'd like to say I'm now following you. :)
