    June/July Game Acquisitions

Hey everybody! You'll be glad to know I'll stick with Gamespot for the people that are staying on the site as I dumped Gametrailers instead. My new blog for my video game acquisitions for June and July can be found as a video at Giant Bomb. Check it out there and leave a comment here or there, doesn't matter to me. From now on any videos I do will be posted only on Giant Bomb since I can embed any video service there while I can't here. Of course, this means that I can use a service like Veoh which allows for any size and any length of video while that is not the case here. Well, that is all and I hope you enjoy!

Most Anticipated Releases for the Rest of 2008

I am now on Giant Bomb like many others! I may make it my permanent home and not Gamespot anymore since this would make it three game sites that I am apart of and keeping up with that is one too many. I say we should all make it our new home!

Here are my most anticipated releases for the rest of 2008, in no particular order:

    Yakuza 2 (PS2)
The first one was pretty damn awesome and this one looks to be even better!

    Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm (PS3)
My only other experience with this series was with Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3 which I found was good, but a bit lacking. With this one I was on the fence thinking it would be more of the same, but with nicer visuals. I played the demo and much to my surprise it is actually quite a good deal different and much better than the previous games.

    Motorstorm: Pacific Rift (PS3)
The original was pretty awesome last year, but it lacked in the content area. Pacific Rift is much better looking and looks to have all of the content you can handle!

    LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
This is a game that looks like it would be from Nintendo, but it isn't and it looks extremely awesome! I can't wait to get in there and create some levels and see what others will come up with as well!

    Resistance 2 (PS3)
The first game was a very solid shooter for the launch of the PS3 and my first game for the system. Resistance 2 looks to up-the-ante many, many times!

    Eternal Sonata (PS3)
When I played the demo for this on the 360, I was really interested in playing it, but I sold the system because I didn't want to put up with the RRoD problems. Now, I'll finally be able to do so.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (PS3)
Super Street Fighter II Turbo is my favorite game of all-time, so it stands to reason that I would be very interested in this version with updated visuals and a rebalanced roster.

    Ketsui Death Label (DS)
As a big fan of shmups, especially the bullet-hell kind like DoDonPachi and Espgaluda, I am looking forward to a good redoing of Ketsui.

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (DS)
I've never been a big fan of the Sonic games and I am a little worried about how much I'll actually care about the story since Sonic games have never had good stories and this being an RPG means the story will be a focal point. With Bioware behind it I am less worried about it being a good game than if it was Sonic Team.

    Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS)
I've been a fan of Castlevania since the beginning on the NES and consider Aria of Sorrow on GBA to be the best the series has to offer. I hope Order of Ecclesia will inject some needed innovation into the series.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 (PS2)
I was first brought into the SMT series last year with Persona 3 and now I own all of the PS2 iterations (thanks to Play-Asia for getting reprints of Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga). P4 looks to have everything that made P3 great with new characters, setting, and story.
