  In keeping up with the bi-monthly absences...

  
  I'm back again, maybe not for long. The truth is I just don't enjoy video games as much as I used to, so there is a bit less for me to do here...that's not to say I've completely lost interet or anything. I just don't game as often.

  Anyway, there is some pretty big news in my life, my family and I are moving back to the place we left two years ago, to go to North Carolina. And that move pretty much devastated me, and I've never moved on since then, at least not from the life I had in NE Ohio. Which could be a good or bad thing, I really don't know, but I'll be back with my friends and back where I think I'll be happy, so that's good news.

  of Montreal

  Well, I managed to bring myself up enough to get excited for of Montreal on Monday night. It was definitely something to be excited for, it was wonderful. The best concert I've been to, imo. Kevin Barnes was wearing matching turquoise hot pants, fishnets, and boots. And glittery makeup. And pretty much nothing else.

  The show was musically perfect, too. Really really great performance, and if you're into them at all, you should definitely see them sometime. So that made my day. Didn't get hardly any sleep the next day, though, got home around 2 in the morning. Oh well. Worth it, for sure.

  Broke.

  Ehh...I'm loving some Modest Mouse right now. Not so much loving other things. My grandma's dying pretty quickly, and I'm having big problems, and I'm freaking out all over the place.

  On a brighter note, I got around to some Rogue Galaxy, actually. I'm enjoying it, getting close to the end, imo.

  Uhm...seeing Of Montreal playing at Oberlin College on Monday, so I'm looking forward to that, I guess. And then Coheed and Cambria w/Fall of Troy at the end of the month, and perhaps Bright Eyes too. Who knows. I find it hard to really be excited about anything right now, honestly.

  Been reading this really excellent book called "Please Kill Me: The Oral History of Punk." It's incredibly good, and it's given me a few realizations. It's made up of interviews with a lot of figures that were big in the early NY and eventually London 60s/70s punk scene. I think I'm seriously falling in love with Iggy Pop, a little bit. So, read it maybe if you're interested in that sort of thing.
