I have seen about 1 bizzillion blogs (thats the actual number) about what games are the best of all time....personal opinions of course and its enjoyable seeing the old games from back in the day, and especially when someone mentions a game you totally forgot about.

So now I will do one, and I will probably forget a game or 2 that I loved at some point, but I wanted to do one of these today here while I am bored at work.

These are personal picks, games I have probably played the most or enjoyed the most.

Also for some of the multi game series chosen below, I just picked one of my favorites, but I do include the previous/later entries in the series in my choices. I also associated what system I played them on the most.

i have 198 pigeons found in gta 4...i have no idea what two i missed...and it sucks

im gonna have to look over every location now again to see what ones i missed.....

I know im probably one of the last do finish it off, but I did it and I am finally done the story in GTA 4....thank god. I chose revenge for the final mission if you want to know, but I will try the other ending later. It was a pretty sweet game tho I must say and when those end credits rolled I was almost sad it was over. In my mind it almost deserves the 10 rating...but a few things definetely are not perfect so i would give it a 9.8. Im going to keep playing it, although not as much and try to get that 100%, and I still have to play more multiplayer matches cause when I did try them out it was a ton of fun. I am not looking forward to getting the remaining 167 pigeons tho

So tommorow night the stanley cup finals start (this is hockey im talking about for all you non hockey fans) and I cannot be more excited. I have 2 favorite teams, the Pittsburg Penguins, which are in the finals, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. I know the leafs suck, so before anyone says something about them at least one of my teams is doing amazing and am still loyal to my teams as the penguins were a horrible team a couple years ago, but Ive been cheering for them since 91/92 when Mario Lemieux won back to back cups with them.

This looks like it could be one of the best finals in the last couple years, and I hope that it will be, but also think that detroit is going to win the series I know its not the best standpoint for a fan to think the other team will win, but I think Detroit is a heavy favorite with their experience of their best players over the inexperience of the penguins youth. One thing that is interesting is that if Detroit wins the cup, it will be the first time in NHL history that a European born player will captain a team to the cup (and the second non Canadian captain), and if the Penguins win it will make Sidney Crosby the youngest captain in history to win it.

I hope the Penguins win obviously, but either way it was a great season and I can only hope its a great final to match.

man just saw the new trailer for gears of war 2...holy crap it looks sooo good. This game looks like it wont dissapoint fans, and makes me rethink that gta 4 will get GOTY (i know its still early for the predictions, but c'mon gta 4 is amazing)

makes me want to go back and play the first Gears of War all over again....just when i thought i would be happy playing gta 4 forever

So I have been playin the waiting game as Im sure a lot of people are, waiting for my early pick for game of the year, GTA 4. Ive been reading every single article available regarding it, and i realize im just teasing myself and making the apr 29 release date seems like years away. Anyway I think that this game will be well worth the wait, from what Ive been reading sounds like Dan Houser, one of the head creative minds behind the GTA franchise, and his team put so much effort into this game that it makes other game companies look silly for trying to charge 60 bucks a game. They seem to realize what a commitment it its to buy games as they are much more expensive than any other media form, books, movies cds etc. and therefore have put in that much work just to show that they want to please the consumer. What a crazy idea....pleasing the customer...no wonder why they are fighting that EA takeover. Anyway from the early reviews ive read where spontaneous fights break out in liberty city when a rear ending occurs, to the cell phone interactivity, and especially the multiplayer it seems like this will be the first true nex gen game that uses the full capacity of the new systems. I am wayyy too excited for my own good, and I would wish that other games would try to really please the customer, instead of just doing the tried and true formula....similar example being rsv2 (or most tom clancy game)...just change some minor details and ship it out again. Not to say that those games arent good, cause I know i have tons of fun with them, but I just know the potential could be so much greater with creative minds like Dan Houser around.

Anyway I should get back to work now, but this GTA 4 hype reminds me of the old days when me and my buddy and little brother would play the first gta for the PC...it wasnt even the full game just a demo that lasted about 15 minutes and we had to keep booting it up cause there was no way my mom would let me get the full version of the game...as I was about 14 at the time. I cant believe this franchise has gone on to be what it is today, and its crazy to see how far video games can go in 10 years. Althought i dont know if I will ever have as much fun as we did back then on the demo when I first was introduced to the world of gta, this game looks like it could be just as good if not better....hopefully I was right when I pre ordered the special edition, but either way now they make me feel like im not overpaying for this game (Im using all gift certificate anyway haha), its a payment that was long overdue....not many games can do that
