I used to love nintendo, and still kinda do, but the last 5 or so years (ever since gamecube) nintendo hasnt done anything to impress me really....only dissapoint. I have a wii, its okay but i never play it, only games that I really loved for it was world of goo, mario galaxy, twilight princess (which is a gamecube game) Wii sports and wii fit plus are fun, but get old really really fast. Love that they came out with punch out...but I am sorry to say it I need more

I grew up with SNES, N64(never had a NES) and used to love most of the games they made..obviously not all of em...but lately its like nintendo is just living of their name.

Main piss offs:

1. no online co op - sure some games it isnt needed for, but whats the deal with the new platforming mario bros for the wii not supporting online co op? Im pretty pissed and there is no way i get it now. Get with the times nintendo and stop pretending that the internet doesnt exist. I realize the serves probably cant handle much, but mario bros co op doesnt seem like too much to handle...i mean i have mariokart wii and that usually works fine

2. Where are the classics? - sure they have mario games coming out, but wheres the new zelda, starfox, kirby etc. They seem to be more concentrating letting 3 parties make stupid games like petz and games for babyz (baby partyz)Support the fan base nintendo you are becoming a joke. side note - I am actually excited to play the new disney mickey game and cant wait for more details.

im done ranting for now...but cmon nintendo....lets stop concentrating on DS games and actually make a good game for your best selling console that sold more than any other system.

Ive been playing a lot of battestations pacific these days, not much ofa WWII guy but damn this game is awesome! Its a follow up to battlestations midway, but I havent tried that game ever, and I actually heard its not that good...but this one is for sure. Anyway great game, check it out its a massively underrated game.

this is the best news I have heard in a long time regarding gaming....I mean I have been waiting for this announcement ever since xbla has been around. But FINALLY.........Turtles in Time, the classic beat em up for SNES is being remade and will be available sometime later this year (hopefully) for purchase. If you never played the original, stop whatever you are doing right now, go out and find a SNES console buy it and a copy of Turtles in Time (good luck on that hunt)

so they are making a few updates to the graphics, but i hope they keep the gameplay similar and dont ruin it

after I watched that clip i was pissed off...and I dont usually get pissed off that easily (except for really frustratingly hard levels in video games)

But its Fox News showing their intelligence yet again...I cant believe this BS.....this is in the wake of a week where somewhere around 10 Canadian soliders got killed in Afganistan in the war effort. Now personally I believe this whole war mission is pointless and there is no way to suceed in afghan (as history has proved) but these guys seem to think that the Americans are 100x better than everyone else (not the first time that has happened). Now I realize that Fox News is not the most creditable source of news, but this is ridiculous. I know 6 year olds who have more intelligent conversations and debatesthan this.

Im sure a lot of you out there never had snow this winter, but living in Canada its a big part of the winter. Now it starting toget real nice out and all the snow is melting or has melted...its a great changeas you can actually go outside without wearing a huge winter jacket...but its also a sad time as the snowboard season is ending

This makes me want to go outside more, I almost feel as if I was hibernating this winter with all the video games Ive been playing! Soon I will have to go out and skateboard a bit, as I am feeling the urge to do it, and get rid of the rust that Ive accumulated with all the time off my board this winter.

Anyway Ive been playing Stoked lately, that game is a ton of fun, but the last pro challenge to beat travis rice is almost impossible! So ive just been having fun flying the helicopters around and exploring the mountains.

Onwednesday I picked up my copy of Stoked for the 360 (the only console it was released for)

This was a long time coming as it was originally was supposed to be released in late last year, but then got delayed twice and ended up coming out in Canada on the 10th of march. It was released in the states on the 26 of febuary I think.

Anyway lets get to if its good or not right?

ANSWER : This game is awesome!

They have brought the skate controls to the snow, with a little variation and it works almost too good. I snowboard and I was going to give this a shot no matter what, and it didnt dissapoint. Its purely a backcountry snowboarding game so that means no snowboard parks and huge unrealstic rails like in SSX and shaun whites game. I was a huge fan of the amped series up until amped 3 (hate it) so I kinda thought that I would miss the big parks and rails, but this game give you so much freedom and sweet mountains to hit that I cant complain.

The game doesnt really hold your hand throughout the start 30 min - hour of the game so it can be easy to not know what exactly to be doing, but thats also good because it gives you freedom to get used to the controls and how the career progression works. Im not too far in, maybe like 3 hours or so and I still havent really touched the sponsorships and events that are available.

Favorite aspect - Weather system! The unique weather system is by far the coolest I have ever seen, with weekly forcast and when it hasnt snowed a lot of rocks with show on the mountain, but if its dumping you get pretty much fully covered mountains which can lead to lines and routes that werent available before. Its damn sweet!

So if you are a big snowboarding fan, as I am or like skate I would definetely recommend this game. The first time company bongfish may not have done a great job for advertising the game, but the final product makes me think it has been worth the wait, and also makes me happy I didnt get shaun whites game.

Ill post my official score of the game in a bit when I have beaten it, or just played a bit more (thiking its gonna be at least a 8/10 )

Ill be gone for a week, going snowboarding in Whistler, B.C. and I am pumped. They have gotten great snow the last couple days and it might be the best conditions for the entire season....so sick. Anyway ill be gone for a week, dont miss me too much haha

On a gaming note I finished the GTA 4 DLC, Lost and Damned last night and I give it a 9 outta 10. It was awesome how you played along Niko for a couple missions....and the end credits were really well done. When I get back I will be getting the game stoked, which is a snowboard game and sounds awesome! I might also download the skate 2 DLC, which looks pretty good...any one get those? if so how is it

GTA 4 DLC, Lost and Damned has to be the best DLC ever.... I mean I cant think of anything that even comes close to being as good.

I will expand on that, as GTA 4 was good....but now that there is DLC I love that I have a Xbox 360 (even if it has broken down on me before) This DLC is so much fun, and I almost like the character of Johnny K better than Niko. The bike riding has been fixed, and the story is incredible, every mission is fun...and I could go on forever about it. Btw I havent even finished the story yet, and I dont think im that close but damn I hope it never ends cause its so fun.

The story and all that is great, but I have yet another favorite part.......The BIKE races!! They have restricted weapons to only bats....does anyone else know what that means???? ITS ROAD RASH!!!! So this is the next gen road rash, the game I have been waiting for every since I was addicted to N64 Road Rash (one of the best racing games ever, if not the best ever for me)

Best 20 bucks ever spent....I mean the DLC is better than 90% of games that come out. Anyway maybe im going a bit overboard but its about time I get to have this much fun on a bike. Let me know what you think, if you have played it your thoughts, and even if you havent played the DLC, does anyone else love road rash like I obviously do? now if they only had that mean machine theme song......

After much consideration, i got fallout 3 as I had a lot of time on my hands as I just had a full week of vacation from work. I went to montreal with the gf, had a great time...but also a big chunk of the days went to playing fallout 3....my first time playing a game of that ****....and man is it addicting. Its pretty much video game crack....and I almost O.D'd on it cause i cannot stop playing it.

I mean, I havent even played Skate 2 in a week...a WEEK! and if you know me or paid attention to my blogs etc u know that I like skate 2 quite a bit.

anyway....I had tried oblivion and even owned Morrowind for orig xbox, but i never could get into them. I think the big part of fallout 3 that makes it so good for me is 1. Guns 2. Great wasteland concept 3. V.a.t.s targeting system

so anyway....i will prolly need rehab soon because of this game....or my girlfriend will break up with me because I start to think that fallout 3 is real life

I finished Dead Space last night, and have to say its one of the better games I played from 2008. My buddy and I traded games for a bit, PoP for dead space (quite different games) and I have to say Dead Space is straight up awesome...and very gory. I found it kinda similar to bioshock, except more graphic and more blood obviously. I got 710/1000 GS on it, and I think that thats pretty good for the first play thru. I kinda was in a hurry to beat it, so I found myself playing for hours on end, and getting really into the story. The story is great, really great atmosphere and its also of course super creepy running around a out of commission space station....with no humans left. Also the way you kill (cutting off limbs) its really well done..and some of the weapons are just awesome to use, my favorite being the cutter where you actually saw limbs off enemies.

So anyway the reason I was in a hurry to beat it is because Skate 2 comes out tommorow! Now I need to get that game asap so I can stop playing the damn demo which I love so much. IGN posted there review, and they gave it only like a 8.3 or something....anyway whoever wrote it doesnt skate in real life and its very apparent. But main annoying thing about the review was LASTING GAMEPLAY - 8....and 8? gimme a break Im still playing the first skate and its still good.

Anyway hope everyones new year is off to a great start...Barack Obama was sworn in today so hopefully this is the start for a better north america than the past 8 years (Im actually Canadian but American politics are much more interesting)

Skate 2 Demo!

thank god there will be a demo and i guess it has been confirmed on Microsofts official website that it will be released on 8 jan.....which is only days away! Im sure it will probably be around the same time for PS3 on their online, but I cant friggin wait. I wonder how much time I put into the original demo for skate...just restarting it time and time again after the demo timer ran out.

Anway hope everyone had a great new year, I actually didnt do much this year on new years due to cold weather and a great Canada - U.S world junior hockey game on. Also my gf got the wii fit for x mas, and although i was very skeptical, it is officially awesome and I highly recommend trying it. Unlike i thought it is not all yoga, there are some of the best minigames ever for it......favorite so far would be the soccer header game..so sick

Well its that great time of year when everyone goes wild on their picks and opinions about GOTY. I just watched the gamespot videos...and I actually like how many categories they had, but I had one big problem....no gears for best 360 game...wtf?

Now my personal pick for GOTY is GTA 4...now I really dont understand how its not the favorite, and sure MGS4 / fallout and others were good....but GTA 4 is just too good and after putting it back in the 360 the other day, and playing the story from the beginning again with a buddy, I have to think its the clear winner. I believe a lot of the ppl who dont give it credit may have finished the game awhile ago, and maybe forgotten about how good it is? I know I almost did (along with not playing it cause I missed 2 of the pigeons grrrrrr) Its one of the greatest achievement in gaming ever, and if you go back and walk the streets of liberty city and see how much detail each and every person has, the amount of detail put into the city and landscape, along with the physics of each individual car....its really pretty mind blowing.

So i got out yesterday to go snowboarding for the first time of the year, and man was it a great time! We got a ton of snow the night before, so there was powder all over the place and its still very very early in the season! I also got a new board a couple days before, its part of my bday and christmas present from the gf.

Another random blog, and the special occassion of the blog is that IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!

woooh.....so ya bdays are sweet, except for the fact that Im now 24 years old and pretty much am a old man (in my mind anyway). But still its better than the other 364 days in the year!

Also for my bday I got the new Prince of Persia game, and I love it so far. Of course G spot gave it a crappy score (8.0) compared to most sites. The main thing they had against it was that it was too easy...but you know its pretty much the exact same as the sands of time where you could rewind time so you dont die, except now you go back to a checkpoint. Also, a lot of games I play are tough, so I really dont mind a fun and not frustrating game, which btw is beautiful to play.

Anyway I havent even really got far into it, and there are some easy achievements if you love that sort of thing as well. I would say if you liked the first prince of persia, you will enjoy this game! so check it out

take it easy

So i finally beat gears....only on normal for now, it was damn easy but thats what happens when u play on normal. I wanted to play hardcore but I am still waiting for a buddy to stop being so lazy at night and we can play the game thru again that way.

Final Verdict = much better than the first gears in every way, except the multiplayer wait times and the final boss

End of the game boss is a complete joke and makes the game end on a sour note...not the best choice to say the least.

I dont know if it will be GOTY or whatever, but its definetely one of my favorite games to be released this year....GOTY for me would be either GTA 4 or Gears.

Also for the past couple days there its been snowing here (suprise suprise I live in Canada) and it makes me excited for the snowboard season.....my gf is getting me a new board this year and I cant wait!!!!

Too bad shaun white snowboarding was a complete bomb...definetely not getting it....why do all the snowboard game for the 360 suck...its not cool.

So I finally have my 360 back, and im ready to get my game on again. Just picked up Gears of War 2 special edition and I cant wait to get home from work to play!!! sooo pumped....so good to have my 360 back. And Xbox customer support will be giving me a free wireless controller for the delay ( it took 4 weeks to get it back)

So M$ officially has the worst customer service ever known...not that it is a suprise to anyone. I am trying to track my 360, using their handy support site....but there has been a problem. Its not working because the retards who work for M$ dont know where my 360 is, even tho they have confirmation they recieved it. So its lost in the repair center....sweet. So the 2-3 weeks will end on wednesday and still no word on where it is. I have spoken to about 5 agents, each who sounds more pathetic than the first and are really good at reading scripts in case of errors. So im pissed, i want my 360 back. It was a pain in the ass before, but now its driving me insane.....I am gonna be getting free **** out of this, I am tired of terrorizing the half brained employees. Even the supervisors are retarded...and they wont tell me their locations but man it must be in the lowest IQ capital of the world. The wii is good and all...but enough is enough I need my 360 back.

I wanted to write world of poo as the title...but im sure someone has already beat me to it....just for the record world of poo is still funny and im 23 yrs old...so yea i like poo jokes still

anyway this game is really fun....got like a 9.5 out of 10 on reviews and is really addicting.....i got it for 15 bucks or 1500 Wii points and if you have a wii I highly recommend it, you get to build crazy stuff and solve puzzles at the same time. Good Times.

Below is a example of one of the easier puzzles where you have to build across a gap, and attach balloons to your building so it doesnt fall, but not too many balloons at the same spot or it will hit the spikes above, popping the balloons.

I also picked up a SSX game ( SSX games usually suck but I wanted a snowboard game for the wii) Never thought i would get a SSX game, but this one was only 20 bucks and it is actually super fun....but really hard. so if you have heard of this game, or played it let me know what u think... I think its fun but really hard, then again I have only played it for like a hour.
