All About voluptuoushrewd
I have many video games and play them, but not all that often.
And I watch a crapload of films.
I also have a girlfriend that I enjoy.
I actually thoroughly enjoy hip hop/rap.. As long as it's not stuff like 50 Cent's Candy Shop featuring Olivia.
Last semester, during a lesson on the origins of hip hop/rap, my teacher exclaimed how it has all gone down the drain for it's now about sex, drinking, and getting high. True… If you don't know where to look.
At first, I said that Eminem is a perfect example that not everything is going down the drain (I f-darn Gamespot censorship-ing love Eminem. When he was performing during the Grammys, my girlfriend and I mutually decided to stfu until he was done). And, I still think that he's an amazing example especially as a mainstream artist. If you want to find good hip hop with meaning behind it, you're going to have to look through 'underground' artists. You'll find the best there.
Here are a few I found through very random methods (I was watching a student short film where I found "Emancipator" which then lead me to numerous trip-hop artists, pointing me towards Sadistik, a rapper who integrated hip-hop with classy instrumental background music. Through finding similar artists, I was able to come up with this list of "underground" rappers):
