Computer virus? Why call the guy?

Quite a few months ago, my computer was struck down with Spyware-Trojan, disguised as something else. I downloaded it unknowingly, of a trusted website. It was called "Windows XP Police". " It practically rendered my computer useless. The spyware prevented me going to the internet for help, continually harrased me to download the "Full client for ultimate Virus protection",prevented me from going to theTask manager (Yes, Istill use XP), and popups continually came up on the screen. "A malicious virus stringhasbeen found in your system.Download the XP Police Client to safely remove the virus." I tried the net again.Itsaid something about not being able to go to the net becauseI was not fully protected (Don't be a smart-ass) from dangerous stuff, and therefore,I should download XP Police. For$62.95.Stubborn not to give in to such an elaborate yet spoon bendingly, mind-numbingly, hallucinogeniacally irritating virus, I went into the deep realms of my program files, only known and mapped by the most intelligent and conspirational techie guys. Still determined to to call the guy (Daniel is his name), there weretwo hours of swearing, clicking, restarting, typing, deleting, and pacing that followed. I soon found out what to do. There was a program called... uhmm I dont exactly remember, butI found and option under my Norton anti-virus porgram (Which had failed in pickingup the Trojan).Forgot what it was called (sorry guys), it saves your computer's status every time you turn it off. Hallelujah! But there was a small obstacle. when I access program files, I had limited time. 23 Seconds to be precise. So, my computer's files were sent3 days into the past. A day before the bane of my tech life had even appeared. WooHoo! Problem solved. Yeah, but then one of my drivers screwed up anyway a few weeks later, so, oh well. Back to Dell it goes...

    The new year...

Well, it's the start of a new year, and everyone's on holiday and enjoying themselves. The new year is a start for new beginnings and happiness. Anyway, moving on, something weird is going on with Gamespot. Every time I load Gamespot, a pop-up comes up telling me to verify if the website can open up something about my system folders. [C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp3res.dll] I have no idea what its about and if anyone knows, it will be appreciated if you can tell me and if it has been happening to anyone else. Thanks. Well this will be quite a short blog, as nothing much has been happening so far. Remember-my blogs are quite rare as I barely have time to go onto the computer.. So wishing you a Happy New Year, and see you in the fast lane or in the trees.

blah blah blah finished all my games blah blah

[Update-The initial blog didn't post properly, so hopefully, this will come up properly]
*sigh*The tiring aftermath of finally finishing GT:HD, Burnout Paradise, Halo3 (Skulls), and NFS Prostreet... It is in a way a relief, knowing full well that you have not missed one single detail in a game-eastereggs and such-and have nailed every single event, blasted all corners (limbs, or racetrack) but I ask myself "Is it really necessary to finish a game as much as 101% in a really short period of time? Does anybody enjoy the game as much? Or do they find it a burden that they don't have that extra Easteregg? Or do some people enjoy the game as long as it is quick and you progress heaps in bite-sized chunks?" Yeah, my views on gaming are slightly strange, but I like to dawdle around in a game and enjoy it as much as possible before finishing that last race/mission. For example, Burnout Paradise, great game. But, after unlocking the monstrous God of Burnout, aka Rossolini Tempesta GT, ALLthe other cars seem mediocre, middle-class, heavy and slow. This is what I'm talking about! As you progress through the game(before unlocking God of Burnout) You're happy with whatever the hell the game throws at you. If it's fast, goes in the direction you point it, and looks good at the same time(
