Return to GameSpot, Portal 2, and Other Business
Well guys, it's been almost a year since I've posted a blog on here. I think this is way overdue, and I have a lot to talk about!
First of all, (Portal humor follows) I'm still alive.

I made it through my first year of college, and I'm back home for summer. You know what that means: It's time to get back to gaming.
When I last updated this page, I was pretty unhappy. It was my birthday, and my old PS3's hard drive had crashed. I think it may have YLODed, but I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, that's ancient history. I got a new PS3 slim shortly afterwards, and getting back to where I was in my games has given me the chance to replay some old favorites (Demon's Souls comes to mind). That's also, however, ancient history.
After buying my new PS3, I went off to college and didn't play much for a while, because I was kind of busy. The first new game I picked up after that was Fallout: New Vegas, and I have to say I only played it for a few hours total. I'm not sure why, but it just didn't keep my interest, perhaps because it really wasn't much different from Fallout 3. Perhaps I should have given it more time, but I have a feeling it wouldn't have mattered much.
I got Bioshock 2 about a month ago. It was extremely cheap on Amazon (about $10), and I needed some fun. I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. While the story was not quite as good as the first, and the novelty of Rapture was gone, the gameplay was noticeably superior to the first. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who has played the first Bioshock, especially now that it's cheap.
Since I got home recently, I picked up Portal 2, which I finished yesterday. I have to say that I was very impressed. I won't give anything away, but I'll say that Portal 2 stands above Portal, and I especially enjoyed the new characters and puzzle mechanics. It's definitely worth at least a rent, since it isn't an especially long game. I haven't tried the co-op yet, but I expect it to be great as well. Anyway, I'm planning on writing a review for it soon, so keep an eye out.
So now I have L.A. Noire waiting to be played, and I can't figure out if I should start it now or play it when I'm living out of town for a month, which will be in about a week. I'd be open to suggestion from anyone who has played it! I'm looking forward to something different from Rockstar, which I keep hearing L.A. Noire is.

There are also a lot of games that I'm looking forward to right now, but I guess my wallet isn't looking forward to it! Infamous 2 comes out in early June, which I am very excited about. I'm eager for much more for the rest of this year, though. Resistance 3 comes out in September. Dark Souls comes out in October. Uncharted 3 and The Elder Scrolls V arrive in November. Battlefield 3, Agent and Dead Island may be out late December. Of course, next year starts off for me with Bioshock Infinite. It's like a gamer's dream come true…
Happy Gaming

So it's my birthday today and guess what I got?? My PS3 hard drive crashed. I lost all my game data. Happy freaking birthday to me.

I'm Back...Again
I was gone to a national debate tournament for a week, and a few days before that, I was preparing for it. However, I'm back, so no one has to cry.
