I also got myself a new wallet and I think you'll like it.

A little update on Noobisoft (UBIsoft) they sent me an email and told me because I hadn't updated the question in 48 hours they closed it and considered it solved. It's now almost two weeks since I had any reply, this is kinda putting me of going anywhere near Far Cry 2.
It would appear that those morons at Noobisoft (UBISoft) tech support have hung me out to dry. I've had no reponse to my tech support question since the 7th (Tuesday) and i'm feeling quite disappointed that they would just drop someone like that.
I think it's time to go somewhere else for help with Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.
I was bored so I thought i'd share some good programs with you all.
IE Spell
A free spell checking extension for Internet Explorer that has been around for ages. I've used it for the past four or five years and i've never had a problem with it.
Unlike a lot of anti-spyware software Spyware Blaster doesn't have any scanner, it chooses instead to try to prevent problems by trying to stop the nasty stuff installing itself.
A free firewall that is probably the best one around.
Why type in normal boring text when you can type in binary.

I got a response to my tech question and they are full of useful suggestions *cough*. Sadly the suggestions were tried last time or make completely no sense at all (suggestions below).
* Install the game in safe mode.
Tried that the last time against my better judgement.
* Copy the disk on to the hard drive and install from there.
Why would that work? The game is still going to have copyright protection on it and i'm still going to have to have the disk in.
* Update your hardware drivers.
They are all up to date apart from the Nvidia driver which is only one version out of date. Why the hell would that have caused it not to recognise the DVD, answer is it wouldn't.
Noobsoft aka UBISoft are now officially annoying me. As most of you will remember I had problems getting Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 to work because of the copywrite protection. Well I just updated to V1.03 and i've got the same problem again, so it's back to Noobsoft tech support.
I knew it would happen but I went and updated it anyway
.
After finally getting the game to work thanks to UBISoft giving me an "official patch" to remove the dodgy copyright protection, i've played and finished the single player. I decide against the multiplayer because of the vast amount of camping that goes on.
It's certainly less tactical than previous incarnations but it's an easier game to pick up now.
