Greg Mueller shares his experience points with the whole party in this review of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth.
Was just looking through some of the (albeit old) comments on this review and I find it kind of surprising some people are, well, surprised by the toughness of the review. Gamespot, in my mind, has always been kind of notorious for being harsh on games. That may have changed since I read on Cracked they now fire people for not giving sponsors good reviews, but they've always been extra hard on games. That's why I trust them the most; I gauge how good a game has the potential to be by whether it gets a 7 or above. It's usually at least half a point better by the time I'd feel comfortable recommending a game, whether just to a friend or in an actual player review. Plus, this game is not without its flaws. I just re-purchased it armed with (hopefully) a better understanding of how it's played and I still recognize some of the same problems he outlines in his review.
I liked Greg Mueller. You guys are whining too much about review. He was very descriptive, criticized where necessary (awful dialogue, long, silly cut scenes) yet still gave the game a very good score. I happen to think he's right. It's still a great game. You just have to overlook the bad stuff.
Don't diss the video reviewers, it's a privilege to view the games in action while they read the review for us, wish they did video reviews for all the games, but with you guys saying that kind of stuff...
It seems that gamespot always picks someone to give the game the lowest rating possible, because if you look at their scores, they're always lower than everyone else's.
If you're an impatient gamer adn you don't want to spend the hours leveling up your character? Those were his exact words.. then you don;t need to be playing RPGs..what a failure lol
what the hell man....what is he a Valkyrie Profile hater.....all this guy say is that ''the game's missing this...the games missing that''and ''its not perfect, missing alot of this and that'' well listen to this dude the games perfectly fine....hell its even better the being fine!!!>.
first i'd like to add, gammet25 i feel you stole my icon for some reason... that's koo tho. is it just me or did this guy just say through out the entire thing that it's good but not good? I mean does he like it or not. or is he just bashing it down to the ground because he doesn't care but it looks like a good game ^^
