What is COM message in Options?

There Subtitles but what is Com Message?

There's sometimes a few conversations in the shape of com.messages. I think it means that.
Com messages being messages in the top left of the screen, minor Codec screens.

So if I want everything subtitles, I should have both On?

Those com.messages are they useful (for gameplay or story) or just random stuff I don't need to know?

The com.messages are to progress the story. Just put subtitles to "ON".
