Looking good, but the cost of Kinect is a bit much for me just to try and not like, I think i'm going to wait and see.

@Jabstor having used the voice stuff myself, thats not possible. They make it very specific as to what you can say and what it does. and you cant say it in the middle of speaking. you have to say just the word. or elce the console just doesnt understand.
What if...You get a phone call from your mum during a online game and there is no time to react/pause but the reception is bad and you say "No, Mum, I am playing on my XBOX, after this match i will SHUT DOWN the xbox." "YES, Mum, I will have a bath later aswell" soon you will realise why is you Xbox is off...lol...it will be very rare but very funny...I guess Microsoft didn't think of that problem lmao
If Kinect is "like Minority Report" does it mean there's a creepy naked woman lying in a water tank off-screen serruptitiously using a controller?
I'm not that lazy so I'm still gonna use the controller, I think it's kind of slow with the hand and uncomfortable.
The voice and hand control is pointless, and it obviously doesn't work very well. It will be even worse in the UK with so many different accents.
also xbox needs to support europe with more content for the 360 . after finaly getting zune and a very numb'd down library of films etc , we still cant get espn for example . i understand that we wont get the same as the u.s gets on espn ,but we can get the highlights etc, not the live games . we still dont have any comics and we still dont have the music stuff (wich i forgot the name off just now ) , i dont mind getting it a bit later , but not at all ???
it needs to react faster to your commands ,but maybe it has some interferance on this vid . this is why i want kinect (still hate the name though ) , voiche and hand controls . and it seems to work and looks nice.
the way this demo was done was very sloppy they should have had an experience technician show the feature it would have been so much faster i guess it will respond as smart or dumb as the user is.
can you imagine talking with somebody about Xbox in front of kinect? :D It would be messy :D and finally after 10 minutes of confusing voice commands... kinect would explode
i mean... my iphone, and everyone elses has voice commands. how often do you use that? never cause you can use the touch interface in buttons basically with out looking. if I can walk in the door and simply say, ONCE without YELLING, "turn on xbox, load halo" and it works then that would be cool. But I dont need a new "box" to yell out. wonder if anyone will get that reference
yeah.. the controller is much faster. When voice and hand movements are as fast and as responsive as a controller I will jump on this in a sec. Right now... whats the point. but it has to start someone where I suppose.
Apart from questionable voice control it looks sort of cool. But this has no value for gaming unfortunately. Lets see what they have for us, gamers.
how is yelling at a piece of hardware over and over again fun? =p if anything it's just annoying and frustrating... they should improve that...
These guys make it sound like the Kinect has ADD. xbox...Xbox...XBOX!!! :::slap::: Wake the %#&@ up!!! lol
everything about it is slow and crazy chaotic. It might be fun once or twice, but I would be super annoyed of these 2-sec-wait-for-click moments really soon.
I hope that the xbox doesn't suggest God-awful movies every time you use the "suggest a movie" feature. Jonah Hex was terrible.
