E3 2012: J.K. Rowling and Sony team up for a new interactive experience on the PlayStation Move
Damn there's people with serious issues around these forums.. It's a kids and family game.! Come on people.!
I think this game looks pretty interesting. But, I'm hoping there is more depth put into the final product. They also might want to do something about the fact that it looks like reading a book in a mirror.
I can see alot of protential in this product but just like anothing using the motion controler I only see a gimmick that is staring back at me... I'm not gonna invest in this idea until its worth investing in so yeah I'll pass...
With a youngster in this house, I was excited about it at first, but when I saw that a fully grown adult couldn't even get the thing to work, I thought again. If you ask me, if they can't get a demo working for E3, they can't get a decent game released on time.
It's only 'lame' cus you are all hardcore gamers looking for the next FPS to perv over. This is really amazing technology that will appeal to kids and families. Stopping whining about something that isn't designed for you.
noit is lame. i see this ending up like the kinect and eyetoy. its a nice tech demo but otherwise useless. its like the augment reality on the vita. i love the vita, but i'm not carrying those cards all over the place.
This should sell about as well as THQ's U-Draw - and have the same financial impact for Sony as U-Draw did for THQ's bottom-line. That's something Sony can't afford.
In order to be a disappointment it needs to look cool to begin with.
There's only really one way to sum this whole thing up: "Lame"
I realize that it is not exactly targeted for someone like me [well, not for next 3 years at least] but why was so much time spent on this? I mean, folks glued to E3 conference aren't exactly the target audience for this. One minute is the most that should've been dedicated to this.
Waste of money if you buy one.
My advise to parents: get your kids a library card. There are literally hundreds of books that they can choose from and its FREE!!!
It looks great as a present for my little sisters who adore these books. Might be a christmas gift kinda thing!
I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments about a game almost none of you would or should be playing. this game is for 10 year olds. My kid would love something like this. If your gonna rate it, keep the targeted age bracket in mind..
i fail to see the "book" part at all it seems more like another move remote that has games with floating words(that you could do with a normal remote or even controller) also his jokes are horrible "in case you can't stand a moment more of this awful demo the exits are located to the right and left of the back of the room"
@OldKye I agree with the lack of a "book" aspect. Seems like a giant augmented reality card to me mixed with the use of the PS move controller. Ultimately though it is for children and they may find it fun
This looks like the cheap browser game they make to promote the real game or a new movie. It...it's just god awful
Hey guys you wanna interact with a book?READ A FREAKING BOOK!
BTW:This demo looked like a browser game...
I find it hilarious that in this day and age, companies are STILL competing against the book. It's amazing how the printed word still manages to stand up to even the newest technology. Not for long, but still, it's funny.
This demo was more awkward than Microsoft having Usher perform! I mean it took that one lady how many times to cast a spell!?!?!
So PS3 gets this and 360 gets Harry Potter for Kinect i think i would rather have the Kinect game but this PS3 thing is kinda innovative
If by new, you mean copying a 5 year old concept, then yes:
very good thing for little kids
but it took too much time
still despite this wonderbook it was anexcellent show
beyond 2 souls, last of us,gow:a and batle royale for its mutliplayer are day one for me
but best of e3 so far are watch dogs and the last of us
Harry Potyter for kinect all that and more as you actually have to move your entire body and not just your wrist like Wii..,
Based on the title of this article, I expected an action packed journey with wand waving...seems it's just the latter.
