@carp93 I withdraw my insensitive objection to the use of this non-Nazi artifact as a sexy marketing tool. It was built by happy people, and crewed by fine, upstanding Germans who were merely mislead.

@Sniper I think that you're actually the one being insensitive here. By lumping all of the German Army into the category of "Nazi" you're painting people who may have had no ill will against any of the people that were targeted by the Nazi regime as evil. As far as we know the crew of that Hetzer were fighting for a cause that they believed in. They may have been lied to by their commanders and kept ignorant about what was going on, but on the battlefield they were fighting for a cause that they thought was just, even if in reality it wasn't. To say that honest soldiers who were misguided into fighting for an unjust cause are"Odious Nazis" is a disgrace to the reality of history. And before you jump to conclusions and say "well what about the guards at Auschwitz?" remember that the soldiers assigned to guard concentration camps were the washouts of the army: those who were deemed unfit to serve on the front line, and were more often then not sociopaths or mentally/emotionally unstable.

FYI Hetzer was made in Czechoslovakia (German design).

They had one tank from each of the three nations represented in world of tanks so far and that is a US Sherman, a russian T-34-85 and a german Hetzer. The tanks were not nazis they were simply tanks ;)

@ Sniper So using a T-34-85 made by USSR is a better choice. Remember that this tank was made during Stalin regime, one of the biggest mass murder of 20th century( people died during his regime even more than during hitler time). Most of these people died because of hard labor, obviously to boost the arm development to compete US. So even though they help to defeated the Nazi, they're no better. And beside, it's all past, why do u still hold some grudge against something u don't actually know about.

@rapiergv Being sensitive to the appalling crimes of Nazi Germany does not make me a hypocrite. Next time, keep your comments courteous. Insulting my integrity is not helpful.

@Sniper Playing the hypocritical sensitive card I see. A game about tanks is showcasing a real one as a promotional video. Reading more than that into it is unnecessary. Also, I've played WoT for a couple of months. Pretty fun, but the grinding made me quit eventually :)

That Hetzer appears to be the real deal, and not a replica, which shows how misguided and oblivious marketing people have become. Using a real Nazi tank as a promotional tool is insensitive and in poor taste. This weapon was probably assembled by starving and abused slave labor, and then used to advance the odious cause of a genocidal regime. While putting Nazi tanks in war simulations is acceptable because it makes the these games historically accurate, using a real Nazi tank to sell product is crossing the line.
