World of Warcraft: Cataclysm BlizzCon Announce Trailer

Wow. It really is looking so dated now. I agree - Warcraft 4 please.

I always liked WoW, and I will pick this up, but WHY won't Bliz work on a Warcraft 4? Or a WoW 2? If they don't do that and just keep making expansions, then WoW will eventually get old, and it will very much lead to the end of the world... of warcraft. {NO! NOOOOO!}

After playing for 2 years, I just gave up on wow. The golden peak was when there was no expansions. I still remember the epic feel, when your senses tingled upon entering a contested area. When traveling to areas near alliance/horde territories, seeking someone to slay. Now, while doing a new char, azeroth is almost empty. TBC, could it be more emptier? World-pvp lost its touch. Everyone just hangs around in neutral dalaran and battle in BGs, which feel more like some minigame apart of WoW. PvE is just an endless struggle for gear. But its fun for the progress, you might say. It is far from fun when you wipe at a boss for 4 hours. And it gets more fun when other players can't simply follow simple tactics or learn them after weeks and weeks fighting. WoW was a good game, people just don't seem to be able to let the game go. I felt alot better when stop using WoW. As if a burden had been lifted from my shoulders. Sometimes I think on returning, but not for the sake of the game, but for the sake of good friends meet in WoW. But the thought has just faded since, I know what awaits. Time wasted on getting gear and what not. WoW, the hidden Korean grind game.

its good that the first map is going to be changed that means when you start a new game at level 1 it would be like starting an all new game and you would not have to do the same quest's again i think thats what blizzard wants most out of this, for ex players and current players to start over with new characters and get the full ex out of this expansion, thats the only way your gonna get the full exp of this expansion. would be good if everyone started with new characters it would be like when wow first came out well thats what I think anyway.

I think the starting areas will be different and harder to, but it is sad when they destroy Elwynn Forest to.

I'm so sad, not really i quit wow along time ago when i first saw this ummm awesome trailer (yeah right). Wow is done hitmanxmik is right 60 were the golden days all the old school people who follow wow since warcraft 2 will switch to bioware star wars mmorpg but we will still play starcraft2 and diablo 3 untill the writers mess there storyline up.

LoL..i think that this wont get old good players back..as long as the gameplay stays as it is in wotlk. Everyone with some more brain than a peanut can notice that the game became too childish and we know that blizz do that cuz for the cash, not for you. So, if blizzard doesnt "get it" by now, that lvl 60 were the golden times...Cataclysm wont get us far more than wotlk now (with all childish s**ts in it) And as some ppl posted by now, wow get worse with every expansion, so probably its time for the good old hc players to find other amusement... ...I wish i was wrong, but, sadly, the cash is the one who decides, not us...

Oh ya remember when warhammer came out and alot of people left wow for it, then a month later when the expansion came out everybody went back, then what happened to warhammer? stop saying the expansions kill it, if anything the expansions kill other games

LMAO, are you serious? hasnt every expansion gotten a good review? hmmm? doesnt world of warcraft still have 11 million subscribers? hasnt every expansion increase the subscribers? All you guys that say this game is going downhill are probly guys that spent so much time getting the gear and when the new expansion you had to start all over again and didnt like it so quit... I was like you at one point, i didnt want to play wow, tried to find a mmo to takes it place, I found nothing tho that even compared to wow, so when i went back i was excited to play because of the EXPANSION, I'm a very open gamer, i play many games and I am open for a mmo to beat wow but i dont see that happening any time soon, aion looks like something I could type into google "free mmorpgs" and find that, the flying combat is interesting but most likely unnecessary, knights of the old republic looks cool too, I loved the xbox game of it, but it looks like a pvp system will not exist or be very bad, which a mmo needs, champions online, looks like a city of heros copy, and we know that didnt work out well, All you guys want to hate on world of warcraft but the truth is there is nothing better, decent graphics, tons of quests, a good pvp system that is only getting better, lots of raids, tons of gear, good amount of races, classes, and talent tree combinations to completetely make your character your own. This game just has it all and other games dont,

Blizz should make a tutorial for other game companies on How to ruin a game in 2 expensions :)) Luckily I have never played retail WoW and never going to play it if it looks like this

I dont like the way its all going i was hoping they would continue the story line on a new single player rts game after wtlk...(actually i was hoping to see that happen after BC).the once rich and awesome story of warcraft has now turned into a bedtime story of 1 bad guy who rises to destroy azeroth(kewl all of them just want to destroy azeroth!) and 25 good guys who rise against him and attempt to "Raid" his mansion,palace or whatever to neutralize his evil plan before it takes place!!!! and guess what? the end of the story is always "the good guys teaching a lesson to the bad guy!". Blizzard must be ashamed...and yeah most of u are right It's been a while since they have started mixing things together and robbing warcraft of its originality...

Looks like they're running out of ideas. Burning Crusade was WoW's peak, and the release of the Death Knight in the Wrath ruined it a bit. Admittedly it was time for some new races, so I'm not shunning this game till I test it. Can't be too different.

The reasoning behind Night Elf Mages was said to be because of the return of the High Elves. At least, this is what Chris Metzen said at Blizzcon. As for the races obtaining new classes. If you can stomach fake space mans, I can totally see a Tauren Paladin. It's not like Thrall started out being a Shaman, afterall. This expansion has me more excited than either of the others. Deathwing. You didn't hear me? DEATHWING! *slap*

This is gonna be a fun Expansion. Im a little shook up about the Alliance getting the Worgen but other than that its going to be fun. Dont think of the gay class mixes like Tauren Paladin think of the new Level 85 content.

They screwed world of warcraft up man, it's not cool anymore. Good that i dont pay anymore for them. Worgen seems a little cool but, taruen pally wtf man thats lame.

@Shack12 Actually Blizzard is slow on expansions. Most MMORPGs release expansions every year, just look at Everquest 2 or Final Fantasy 11. WOW expansions are released every 2 years. Also, most MMOs release expansions to new areas, at least WOW usually adds new races or classes and new areas.

why not warcraft 4, instead of making ppl pay more for something they have been paying for the last couple of years. For the record i think it's a whole bunch of BS that someone would have pay a monthly fee or any game.

seriously ... i read a couple of ur posts and i see comments on different combinations of clases/races (tauren pala, undead hunter, troll drood and others) but as much as i read i didnt see any post made against the most stupid without sense and practcly the most desperate move of all : DWARF SHAMAN .. that is practicly idiotic ... ... ... ow and the introduction of the worgen class is a merchandising move as it will atract X-men fans towards the game.

Lame... no new classes.
