Dear god this trailer is horrible. And I quit this game like 2.5 years ago. But yah. Still going to buy it. I don't even know why. I suppose some part of me still gives a s***.

Check out the announcement trailer for World of Warcraft's next expansion, Mists of Pandaria.
@saintsrowpimp I agree on some points with you, but my opinion is that World of Warcraft has lost it's atmosphere a little after the first expansion, and really after the second. My opinion is that the main problem is that Blizzard always changes the game's system, yet, it's still really unbalanced. Above that, they only dig up parts of the story, like the Lich King, or Deathwind, instead of making something entirely new.
My main problem with this expansion pack, is that the whole race was originally a joke by Blizzard (Drunken Fist...), and I would rather see snail-like humanoids fight beside me, than pandas.
One, it's not kung fu panda inspired, pandas in Warcraft fames were around before it.
Two, if it's too easy for you, up the difficulty and fight enemies 5-7 levels higher than you if you want to die a lot. They made it easier to expand their range of players, it was the right thing to do in a business, you can still make it harder. Yes there is some grinding, but what do you expect? There is already 85 levels and thousands of quests, you can't expect a completely different experience every time. Follow the storyline and it will feel original, if you just skip the story and do the objectives, any game will get boring. Name ONE game that has more to offer and more originality than wow.
Three, you complain about kids being on it who don't know anything about wow yet you think pandas are inspired by a movie? who really doesn't know about it? You're like a 9 month old claiming superiority over an 8 month old.
Four, do you think it would be better if they stopped expansions and updates all together and you played the same scenarios over and over? IT IS A GAME, NOT LIFE, it's supposed to be fun and entertaining and challenging.
One thing they always do right is the soundtrack ingame. I've yet to find another mmorpg that souds so...adventurous :P
While I definitely agree WoW has been dumbed down tremendously since vanilla (PvE especially), you are simply in denial if you can't recognize the originality in WoWs leveling and talent system. End game content is nothing but PvE and/or elitist D-bags, but they did a great job of keeping leveling pretty fun throughout. Also for the most part every class can have multiple roles. Druids can be tanks, healers, dps, or healer/tanks etc. This isn't something seen in EVERY MMO, and Blizzard really mastered it.
Sure theres grinding, but there's also a lot of originality. I play Tera right now, and I do love it, and the combat is amazing, but levels 30-58 are pretty much a pure grind fest. Thankfully the games incredible monster/environment design and combat make up for this, but it did help me realize just how innovative WoW STILL manages to be.
It's funny how when it comes to WoW, the most hate comes from either people who know nothing about it or people who know everything about it. Funny how that works...
I played this game for a couple of years and it was really fun, but they just keep making it for little kids more and more and pretty much killed it for me. That and most of the people who play it now are just total douche bags that act like the game is there job or somthing. :-/
Blizzard, do you not see how lame and boring you have made this game? It used to be a challenge and fun to play. Now a 5 year old can create a toon and lvl it to 85 without dying once! How is that supposed to be fun or challenging? I'm angry because I miss playing a game I once enjoyed so much but you have completely ruined it. Now you are adding rediculous looking kung-fu pandas? Honestly... what the hell are you doing? and why? No one gets it. WTF are you doing?
Well you have to give credit to Blizzard, they manage to expand a little more, but as many say the game has been diying since Lich King, so in my opinion they should launch a new warcraft and Diablo 3 and let those game consume the market and have maybe a 5 year delay on another MMORPG game, just like they did before WOW apear....
And the adventure continues... It's time for Blizzard to end this franchise and start something new. The game started dying with the death of the Lich King.
Wow is no more what it used to be. i missed old times when playing Wow was fun, inovative, challenging. This expansion practicly killled the game, which was dying in last years.
i disagree i think all the new content looks amazing and really whats the differance between a Draenei and a panda not much in my opinion and i think wow has gotten better since vanilla minus cataclysm one again in my opinion
Not a WOW player, was during parts 2005-2007 and the first expansion. Blizzard could have thought of something better for this last expansion. I mean comeon, Panda's? I mean you think they would have thought of something more hardcore. I guess Blizzard is looking at the kiddie fans though and probably is figuring this will help keep some fans of that genre still playing.
even though the pandaren are part of the wow lore, i think this expac will seal the fate of wow. the game was evolving and still at its best during vanilla, BC, and sort of lich king, now this is probably gonna ruin the hardcore side of it.
This is the crappiest idea I have ever witnessed coming from Blizzard. These furballs make me wanna barf...
