"Waste of time"

After going back and putting some time into this game, the experience I had was nothing short of boring and tedious. The campaign puts you in a king of the hill type ranking system similar to that of the original mortal combat games. Which is ok, but be prepared for the long haul, each match is going to take you about 15 minutes, not because they are hard matches, they are quite easy in fact, you can look away while hitting your punch and kick buttons and still walk away the victor. Your moves are incredibly limited and and the control scheme annoying. To top it all off there is an occasional live action cut scene, but no real story and the campaign is chock full of "grudge" matches. Overall the graphics are about what you would expect from a PS game, the controls are terrible, the story is terrible and when you win there is no real sense of achievement. It's a grueling and lack luster game, it disappoints even for its time.
