Does the new 60 gig model have the falcon chip?

Or does it have a different one?
Accepted Answer
Yes, if my research is correct too if you wait till September it will have the new Jasper chip that will hopefully eliminate the RROD and the E74 errors.

  • Yes, the new 60 gig model does come with the falcon chipset
  • Currently, all Xbox 360s on store shelves are using the Falcon 65nm processor, but to make sure that the one you're purchasing is in fact the 'Falcon', check the side of the box for the power information, it should read 175w, rather than the older 203w due to the lower power costs on a smaller CPU die. Failing that, look at the MFG. date, if it's dated after July of '07, it's a Falcon.
