    It's still my favorit game of all time even with all it's flaws.
    altough ME2 will probably be 10 times better.

    @gamelova08 this isnt a fps its a third person shooter, it is true the pausing would be VERy anoying if it was an FPS but its not.

    @gamelova08 I agree with you. I think some shooter fans will pick this up looking for deep story, giant scale and fast paced intense third person action, but the constant pausing and selecting powers/weapons will kill the pace and bore them to death. This game is really for RPG fans only. And RPG isn't my cup tea, with the exception of Diablo.

    Wow...pausing the game just to select one or two mods and then SURVEY things to help defeat ONE guy???....That seems really slow...and repetitive...and frustrating...no wonder this game got an 8.5....

    Third reason I am getting an Xbox. is this here title.
    After at least 4 Xboxes in my history, 2 original Xbox before 360, others 360s, all with the ring of death. Plz god, let this one let me play these heartable titles without any red alerts. Tyia.

    Well As i was playing Mass Effect, and still am, i feel like there are a lot of problems with the menu system, leveling up, and the Mako...I keep on looking back on the simplicity of Kotor because even though the The Milky way Galaxy looks like a cool map i always forget how to use it. I'll get the hang of it. I think it is in the good side of Bioware. The second is going to pleasure everyone 100 fold!!!!

    I honestly don't get the appeal of this game. As an rpg its watered down even more so than fable, as a shooter its generic at best, and bland level design is rehashed all the time especially in the side quests. The story was typical but that can be forgiven. I don't even want to get started on the inventory system, but what I understand the least is it's popularity. Sometimes I wonder if I played a different game to everyone else, I don't understand how this could have come from the people behind kotor. I played through this entire game and found very little to like about it, so I ask, someone enlighten me. What did I miss that made this game good?

    I played Mass Effect when it first came out and I am still playing it and it only gets BETTER!! Once you beat the Hardcore it unlocks Insanity. I rated this game a Solid 10. The Graphics and Story are Amazing.

    * Spoilers alert* OMG, I am playing for some hours an the Saren council audition was epic! I was like, omfg it is his fault! Cmon cant you see it? LOL - This game is brilliant, perfect act till now, never saw a game with better dialogues than this. And just for the record, you CAN move the turret to any direction you want.

    There is something wrong with this review.. I watched in other sites and ALL of them say this game is incredible and give it 9+. I bought it now from ebay for 11€. I got Oblivion 4 yesterday for 13€, and i still need to finish Eternal Sonata and Bioshock... Damn... I need to stop search for games on ebay... lol

    If you like RPG this game is for you i rate it aleast a 9 put of 10. Its a great game that i cant get anough of. One of the best rpg on the 360. Go get this game if you havent already got to enjoy this space master piece.

    I got this game 3 days and it is a ok game its not good or bad it is ok the driving parts are bad and i heat it.

    I ttly agree with ChirsM95.

    The campaine is waaay to short tho. compared to KOTOR anyway...
    combat is better, squad is better, overall its better but... campaign is WAAY TO SHORT!!!

    i agree. the game is fantastic, and kevin vanord always underrates things that arent MGS. i do have to say i dont mind the texture pop-in, but i really cant stand the autosaves for the game. the game tells you that it will autosave, but it rarely does. this causes extreme fury if you forget to save before a boss battle, or during a long firefight....

    Deserves a 9.5 - But I guess any game that isn't MGS4 Kevin VanOrd underates. The only flaw I found in this game was this little glitch that causes the graphics to fade in and out. It's nothing really that bad and it doesn't effect the gameplay, but it still is noticable.

    Mass Effect is another great Bioware RPG, and if you can get over the "sticky" cover system, cookie cutter sidequests and awkard conversations, you should find an epic game in there, as I did. Hopefully though, seeing as these quabbles are relatively minor flaws, these problems will be fixed up for the second game. Here's hoping ME2 is even better.

    Oh and as for the length, my first playthrough, which included sidequests, took about 30 hours, but for most people - seeing as how I'm extremely slow - the mainquest should only last around 15 hours.

    the turret on the vehicle most certainly CAN move up and down, on both the pc and the xbox
    its not as accurate from 3rd person perspective, but if you zoom in, you have more control over the turret
