Why are people trying to make this a LIPS vs. Singstar?

They DON'T compete, either you have an Xbox or a Playstation, very few have the opt. to have both singstar and Lips, so why keep saying lips are a copy, just "childish"!

Xbox 360 owners have not until now had an party/karaoke game, now they have.

The pitch height feels somewhat more accurate on SingStar, at least it shows how high or low you are currently, unlike Lips...

most music games debut somewhere between 40-80 songs, ... give it time and there'll be more available to download i'm sure. Why would they pack in too many when they could make $$ off of microtransactions?
I won't be getting this one though, rock band has enough content for me

This game really needs more songs than the 40 you get with it, I have checked online and there are only a handful available to download at the moment. I hope they bring more out soon or people will get bored very quickly. The mics do look very good at night and being wireless is great.
Oh and after 4 hours of play my kids got me 335 gamer points, cool.

theres no way you can't compare it to singstar because all it is, is a cheap microsoft clone.

... I don't really like how compared it directly to Singstar.. Just seems a little unprofessional to me.

In all honesty you don't really need any of these games to have a sing along party. all you need is friends and Your music that you prefer to sing along to

Looks like a Singstar clone to me.

I for one found a snake to be an obvious reference to a ring of fire...

Here is how I got to it...

Snake -> Bite -> Mike Tyson -> Funny Voice -> Mickey Mouse -> Eskimos -> Alaska -> Sarah Palin -> Russia -> Vodka -> This party i went to with this fine australian chick that liked vodka martinis -> australia -> pacific islands -> ring of fire...

    done...

    See obvious

Wait a minute. I have a doubt. So you sing all the time with the original singer voice in the background and there's no way of take it off??? WTF!
