You know when Shulk reveals that the Monado can't hurt people at the beginning, well, the developpers used that for 2 boss battles so far where in one you're likely to have Shulk in your team and the second where you have to have Shulk in your team.

In Alcamoth, you have to fight 5 assassins, which is pretty straightfoward. Now I was aware that a certain battle shouldn't be fought with Shulk because the Monado won't work. What I didn't know is that unlike most battles, the game doesn't let you rearrange your party, so I got stuck using Shulk, Dunban and Sharla for that battle and it was tedious.

In the High Entia Tomb, the bosses are a SOLIDUM TELETHIA and TYREA. Here's the problem: you need Shulk's aura-breaking power to fight the Telethia and again, you'll do no damage to Tyrea, the assassin's leader. I did deafet both with Melia and Sharla but it was long again.

Dunban has some arts using punches and kicks... you'd think Shulk would have similar arts when he ever has to deal with such opponents...

Haha yeah, you'd think he'd be smart enough to not keep ramming his head into the wall like that and just try to fight with his hands or maybe the blunt end of the monado but nope!!

I figured out the route of the problem: you're using Sharla

Indeed, even without the lightsaber bit, the Monado IS a huge chunk of metal, and I reckon that'd be pretty effective against anything with human-like flesh.

Getting into a fight against a red-coloured boss can be similarly time-consuming. One of the story boss fights took me about 20 minutes because I couldn't damage it worth a darn, particularly during the day, forcing me to simply stall until night rolled around again.

Melia + Mind Blast = Second boss argument invalid.
