Are Dark Tuners the same as Tuners in this game?

I'm certain that Dark Synchros are treated as Synchro monsters, but are Dark Tuners treated as Tuners? If so, then I could use them with cards like Tuning or Quillbolt Hedgehog. Does anyone know yet?

I'm aware of how the Synchro and Dark Synchro processes work. However, in the anime, not only were the EXPLAINED as Synchro Monsters with negative Levels (Minus Stars), but they were shown to be a TYPE of Synchro- like how Synchro Summoning is a type of Special Summoning- on two occasions, those being Yusei's first duel with Kiryu, and Crow's duel with Bommer.

It was never specified whether the same principle applied to Dark Tuners or not. This game can answer that question. Now, it's REALLY clear that Dark Synchros still work the same way they do in the anime, because both the Dark Tuners and the Dark Synchros themselves say they are "Synchro Summoned" instead of "Dark Synchro Summoned".

The reason I suspect that Dark Tuners are a type of Tuner is because they say they cannot be used to Synchro Summon anything except Dark Synchros. Furthermore, the Dark Synchros require a Dark Tuner and a non-Tuner such as Sangan or Infernity Dwarf.

If someone can put up a gameplay video of a Dark Tuner being regarded as a Tuner monster, that would be fantastic. You could use cards like "Battle Tuned" or "Revival Gift". You could also try combo-ing them with "Quillbolt Hedgehog". You could even try to use "Dark Tuner Nightmare Hand" and "Dark Tuner Dark Ape". If Dark Tuners are not Tuners, then you can use Dark Ape and Nightmare Hand to summon One-Hundred Eye Dragon and draw a card at the same time.

Found a video that shows Tuner Capture being used on a Dark Tuner. Dark Tuners are a subcategory of Tuner Monsters.

I would like to know for certain if Dark Synchros work the same way, but I'm confident that they do.
