This game looked good in the descriptions, video clips, and screenshots. Playing the demo was fun but you did not have much to play with. Buying the game and progressing through the various levels left me disappointed and feeling that it was an original idea but needed to be so much more.

You play the role of a driver, starting with a taxi and upgrading to various vehicles such as a limo, sports car and ambulance. The vehicles can be upgraded with armour, bull-bars and weapons like a machine gun or flamethrower.

Your mission is to drive through the zombie-infested town, rescuing survivors, and mowing down as many zombies as you can before they destroy your vehicle. Sounds fun, but not quite!

There is not much of a storyline apart from some American General safely outside the city telling you where to pick up survivors. Clearing out an area by running down zombies sounds easy, but when you run into a few hundred zombies in one group, your car takes more of a beating than the zombies. The car can easily become damaged especially when some of the zombies are throwing objects at you, and other giant zombies explode by you. So you try and avoid the zombies by driving around them, but then you damage the car but hitting fences, trees and so on.

The weapons are good especially the flamethrower, but the ammo does not last long. There is ammo and health scattered around the city, but is hard to find and when you're up against the clock, you don't have time hunting around the city for more health or ammo.

The zombies are slow moving, but I prefer my zombies like on TV where they don't throw objects at you, and they are all normal rather than some kind of genetically modified giant zombie that explodes when you get near it and damages your car further.

The graphics are good but lots of blood splattered around when running over the zombies.

One of the most frustrating things is as the levels increase, you think it will become easier as you have stronger faster cars, with more armour and better weapons. Wrong! As the levels increase, the zombies seem to get harder to kill, they throw more objects, and there are far more of them. As a result you run out of ammo and get your car destroyed before you've even reached the target to complete the mission. In addition, it would have been good to have a free-for-all mode by simply driving anywhere in the city you wanted to go and eliminating as many of the zombies as possible.

So I doubt I'll be playing this game again due to not been able to progress any further because of the difficult.
