Acomplishment Question

In the first game does scoring a overall A rank automaticly unlock the overall B rank Acomplishment? or do I have to go through the game again and score a overall B rank to get that Acomplishment

No it doesn't but all you have to do is reload your last save and die 5 times. That will lower you down to a B

Somewhat related to this topic, but I'm having a problem getting my rank to drop in the second game. I don't know if it's because my stats are still good enough to outbalance the continues (I sincerely doubt it) but I've deliberately died and continued 11 times now and I'm still getting an S Overall Rating.

For what it's worth.
Time 2:53:58 (50 minutes of which spent getting myself killed...)
Enemies 2550
Attacks: 508
Score: 610918
Saves: 12
SS on both events.

I'll keep getting myself killed, if I get it down to A, I'll say what number of continues it took, since it seems that it isn't so simple as 5 per rank, like it is in ZOE1. Anyone know how many I'm likely to need?

26 continues, still getting S on ZOE2.

Try saving over and over again (on the same save file). I had to get to like 50 saves before my rank went down.

I just got the A rank for ZoE2. My final stats were

Time: 2:01:19
Saves 53
Continues 19
SS for both events.

When I saved 52 times, I got an SS rank. I'd made a save in the penultimate boss fight as Damaged Jehuty because he dies easier. Continued until I reached 19, saved then tried it. Got the A, got the "Get all achievements" achievement =)
